403 Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince (Robbie Fenwick Needs a New Dentist)
Today we say goodbye to one of the most important characters in the Harry Potter story with the penultimate story, The Half-Blood Prince. Though this is the ‘Prince’s Tale’ in the title of the story, the true ‘Prince’s Tale' is in the final story. In this one, we learn all about Voldemort’s past, where he comes from, and his ultimate plan for immortality. We discuss the book again heavily in this episode to pad the tale because Voldemort’s past is one of 2 histories, the other being Dumbledore’s in the finale, that was unfortunately cut from the story overall. Kailee is back one last time for the Harry Potter movies as we also discuss Malfoy’s not-so master plans, Severus’ dilemma, count the times Kailee says young Voldy is cute, purposefully avoid discussing the Ginny romance, and try our hardest not to spoil what comes next. And now we ask you the same question us book readers were asked before the final story... Severus Snape. Is he Dumbledore’s man or is he Voldemort’s man?

402 Harry Potter and The Order Of The Phoenix (Voldemort Should've Just Chosen Neville)
Let’s return to Hogwarts! On today’s episode of The PCP, Kailee is back and ready to discuss her new favorite Harry Potter movie, The Order of the Phoenix. Join us this week as we discuss Harry’s newfound rage that has resulted from the death of Cedric and lack of communication from anyone he knows and loves; the new government plant at Hogwarts, there to disrupt anything a rebellious Dumbledore might consider; and why Voldemort is desperate to invade The Ministry of Magic and even Harry’s own mind for a chance to know just what started Dumbledore’s fierce and confident resistance against Tom Riddle 16 years ago. This is the best we've seen from Daniel Radcliffe and this is the angriest we've seen Harry. It all leads to a showdown between The Order, The Death Eaters, Dumbledore's army, and Voldy and Dumby themselves in the first battle of the second Wizarding War for the fate of the future. For neither can live while the other survives.

334 Last Action Hero (Look! Ahahlahphant!!)
On today's episode of The PCP we revisit a movie ahead of its time, Last Action Hero. This week we make the case that this movie, perhaps, would be better recieved today as a spoof of the plethora of movies in the 80s and 90s whose plot bore similar to this: A badass action hero in jeans and snakeskin boots, impervious to death, filled with one-liners, who always wins no matter what. Join us as we try to explain what makes Arnold's particular brand of comedy work, how foreshadowing plays out in this movie world, and why some old-school tropes need to return as we examine a fictional man, made aware of his imagined existence and how he struggles with pain and death for the very first time. This movie has heart, fantasy, action, Sonya Blade, the T-1000, a cartoon cat, and a mobster named Leo The Fart.. Guess what he does?... I miss the 90s.. Roll it!

This 1975 movie, adapted from the same-name novel by Peter Benchley, does away with all the extra plots of the book (steamy and dangerous as they may be) and focuses on what people came to the theater for: A man eating shark eating men. And women. And children. And not in that order.
