info_outlineMike, Tom, Crunch, and Tad in studio.
Everyone made it in tonight, and it's nice to have everyone back again.
Tom was in Florida again for the Toyota engine Manley pistons tests attempt number 2. For those that did not hear about this, the idea is to test some newer piston designs under very high boost pressure. Ring seal and piston structure get brought to the forefront when these engines are under extreme pressure. The engine is on the dyno and going to put through hell to proof these designs. That is what real world companies do for product R&D.
BUT... there was an issue again. Electrical gremlins postponed the test, and Hollywood Tom will be on the plane again. If you see him in Newark airport surrounded by his entourage say hello.
Crunch attended a grudge race involving an old customer of Mike's. Old describes how long is has been since Mike has seen him and the guys Age. Maurice, the owner of several grudge race cars over the years is still at it. God bless the man for doing what he loves at 70 years plus. He raced a old friend of ours, Tommy Jackson, nephew lined up heads up. Listen for the details.
Mike and Tom had some firearms shenanigans this weekend. The guys know it's not the thing for everyone, but it sure is fun. Mike and Tom discuss the various firearms and binary targets.
Tad's Subaru has a most definite engine noise in Mike's opinion. This is going to require a deeper look, and due to the design of the Subaru, not easy to poke around while in the car. Tad will have to actually work, or actually take it someplace to diagnose the legendary JDM powered shitbox.
Live again next week Monday night at 7:00 PM EST on Mixlr.com. Call in number 908 751 0211. Live callers welcome, and this will be the line for giveaways.
