Again, Melissa, welcome to the Recovered Podcast
In the spirit of full disclosure, Melissa’s family means a great deal to Anna and me. Our son Andrew and Melissa’s brother knew each other quite well and that is how we got to know Melissa’s mother and father. When Andrew passed away in 2012, it was your mother who accompanied us to Florida to settle Andrew’s affairs there. I don’t know what we would have done without her. It was your father who transported us to and from the airport. It was your grandmother who provided our lodging while in Florida. It was your brother who also supported us when we were in florida and gave Steven, our son, Andrew’s fishing pole he used in Florida. And you gave us council when the Police detective was giving us the run around when we were down there. For all of this, we owe a great deal to you and your family.
But, Melissa you have decided to try something different and that is the topic for today’s show.
Melissa is running for Wayne County circuit court judge in the great state of Michigan. This is the subject of our get together, Melissa’s run to be judge and why she wants to be judge.
So, Melissa, tell us a little about yourself.
What is the difference between a good lawyer and a great lawyer?
What is the difference between a good judge and a great judge?
Why did you want to be a lawyer?
Where did you go to school?
Where do you practice?
What do you do?
Why do you want to be a judge?
You use the tagline, firm but fair, what does this mean to you?
Where are you in the process of getting elected?
You have great endorsements, who has endorsed you?
Any surprises?
When is the election?
