info_outlineTransient Ischemia Attacks (TIAs or “mini-strokes”) are a harbinger of badness and a major risk factor for future strokes. The definition as undergone different re-iterations over the years, which has hampered some of the clinical and research utility. This podcast will discuss the current definition, the initial evaluation of a patient with a suspected TIA, the acute management, and how we as clinicians can help reduce modifiable risk factors and increase secondary prevention of future events.
