Leading up to National Wellness Week (September 11-17, 2016), SAMHSA will be releasing a new podcast from SAMHSA’s Wellness Initiative series each month.

The second podcast in the series is titled Getting Well Through Recovery: Why Wellness Matters and How Your Peers Can Support You. Gabe Howard, Director of development and marketing of The P.E.E.R. Center, and a person living with bipolar and anxiety disorder, hosts an hour of conversation with colleagues from The P.E.E.R. Center. Learn ways to practice wellness on a daily basis and hear how peers can help support all dimensions of wellness. This episode focuses on why overall health and wellness is so important for people in recovery; ways to practice wellness on a daily basis, both in your work and in your personal life; and how peers can help support all dimensions of wellness. Featured guests include Deidra James, assistant director of The P.E.E.R. Center, and Deshawn Davis, facilities manager and head of security of The P.E.E.R. Center.
