Welcome to PTSD Bunker Gear For Your Brain
In Episode 03 we find ourselves taking the first steps on my personal journey of PTSD. T.R.A.S.H being the acronym used to describe the stage, we find ourselves in the second stage, Re-Boot represented by the letter R.
I found the stage of Re-Boot in my PTSD journey to be a stage of realization. Now with most problems, you understand you have them right away; that is what makes them a problem. In the second stage of T.R.A.S.H I learned that whether I understood it or not, PTSD had been an issue in my life for quite some time. Isolation is a common warning sign at this stage. I found myself locking myself away; it had become a way of life.
I also got a front row seat to the relationships I had destroyed in my life due to PTSD. I realized I had an incredible uphill battle, but a battle that was very much worth it. In the five stages of T.R.A.S.H, this was the stage that I felt was the biggest eye opener to how I had thought I was living my life, vs. how I actually was living my life. A stage I am assuming many would have a tough time dealing with.
