Welcome back to FitFluential Radio! In today’s episode, we'll discuss the many pros and cons of endurance and strength training from a longevity standpoint. We also have articles that talk about reducing Wi-Fi use in school to protect children, the effects of night time light on depression, and a possibility of living forever thanks to genetic modification.

If you have any comments or questions on any of the topics discussed in this episode, feel free to leave them below!

“There are no great looking long distance runners.” Kevin Cottrell

This Week in Health and Wellness:

  • Certain endurance workouts, like kickboxing, are okay as long as they are done only a couple of times a week.
  • Scaling back is a great workaround than outright cutting cardio out of your life.
  • If you still want to continue endurance training, then do it from an informed standpoint.
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are distracting students more than helping them.
  • Even dim light can cause depression due to impaired melatonin release.
  • You don't want to be in pitch darkness, but use bulbs that remove blue light. Black lighting is fine but may seem extreme for most.
  • If you can find a way to lengthen telomeres, you might just live longer and even stop aging.
