Ashland Hospital Alliance

Ashland Community Hospital is still moving ahead with plans to form an alliance with San Francisco-based Dignity Health.  Recent public forums to discuss the alliance created some heat over issues like end-of-life care and abortion.  We'll talk to a pair of hospital executives about the planned alliance, and what happens next.

Chautauqua Revival

Think of it as public radio in person: the Chautauqua movement of the 19th century featured education, entertainment, discussions of the issues of the day, and more.  The outdoor theater at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival is built on the foundations of a defunct Chautauqua building.  Now the Southern Oregon Historical Society is bringing a modern-day Chautauqua event to Hanley Farm this weekend.  We'll talk Chautauqua past and present.
