Class Prejudice

Do you subscribe to the concept that we are divided between the One Percent and the 99 Percent?  Is there some other numerical formula that you adhere to?  The division of society by class will get some scrutiny this weekend, as the Community Alliance of Lane County hosts a workshop on class prejudice, how to recognize it, and how to defeat it. 

Flicks and Politics

Even if the political process turns you off, you might enjoy watching some movies about the subject.  So the League of Women Voters of the Rogue Valley plans a film festival of sorts, featuring movies like Michael Douglas's "The American President".  That very movie kicks off the series this weekend; we'll talk about the chosen films and the reason for the activity.
