Jefferson Exchange -- October 3, 2012, HOUR 1

Art and Overcoming Differences

If people from opposite ends of the political spectrum won't volunteer to talk to each other, maybe art can help.  Artist Ariana Jacob is one of the artists featured in "Selections from Portland 2012: A Biennial of Contemporary Art" at the Schneider Museum of Art in Ashland.  She'll join us in the studio to talk about her art project, which entails conversations with conservatives and libertarians.

VENTSday

Our weekly ritual is renewed, as we throw a pair of topics on the table--in theory, unrelated--and open up the phone lines and the email box to gather your take on either or both of the issues.  It's VENTSday on The Jefferson Exchange, and you participate by calling 1-800-838-3760 or 541-552-6782 or emailing JX@jeffnet.org.
THIS WEEK, give us your thoughts on:
1) Do pre-election polls influence your vote?
2) Full prisons-how do we make room for convicts?
