Stand Up That Mountain

The scenic beauty of the Applachian Trail faced a threat from a mining company that started working to remove much of the top of a mountain right near the trail.  The residents of a nearby hamlet sought out the help of a non-practicing attorney named Jay Erskine Leutz, and he went to work saving the mountain and the trail.  He retells the story in his book "Stand Up That Mountain: The Battle to Save One Small Community in the Wilderness Along the Appalachian Trail."
