Water Getting Warmer

The fish for which the Northwest is famous could see increasing pressure in coming years from low stream flows and corresponding high temperatures.  Oregon State University and federal researchers recently published a study examining conditions in streams that do not see much influence from human activities. 

Smokeout Day

Do NOT "smoke 'em if you got 'em".  At least not on this date.  The Great American Smokeout of the American Cancer Society challenges smokers near and far to focus on quitting--either making a plan during the day, or making a plan in advance and actually quitting on the day.  We'll bring in a guest from the Oregon Health Authority to talk about programs in Oregon.
