Jefferson Exchange -- November 19, 2012, HOUR 1
Day of Listening
In the age of texts and tweets, society seems to favor shorter communications. With pictures, too. But as radio proves every day, there's room in this world for longer voice-only communications. The ongoing Storycorps project promotes the day after Thanksgiving as the National Day of Listening, a day for Americans to record their loved ones answering important questions. You'll hear the details on who to talk to, what to ask, and how to record your important person.
King Tides in Humboldt Bay

The Humboldt Baykeeper organization documents the effects of the king tides with the help of partner organizations and the general public. We'll talk about the photo documentation and the long-term implications of the flooding.
