Defense and the Cliff

Call it the axe falling or call it the fiscal cliff, federal budget cuts will happen automatically at the end of the year, unless Congress acts and the president signs off on the action.  The cuts will affect both domestic programs and defense, an area Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer knows well.  He is an army veteran and a senior fellow at the Center for Advanced Defense Studies.  He'll offer his perspective on defense money and where he thinks it should be spent.
