We'll resume our discussion of establishing minimum in-stream flows in the Shasta and Scott Rivers of California.  The water allocation is meant to help coho salmon recover from near-extinction.  But it is highly controversial with ranchers and other groups.  Today we bring in the California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) to talk about the issues and the process.

Eugene City Hall

It's not every day you find a city without a functioning city hall, but that is the situation in which Eugene finds itself.  The ramshackle City Hall closed in the summer, and now the city is trying to figure out where the next city hall should be.  The public gets a say in the matter, at the second of two public meetings set for this afternoon.
