Have you thought about finding a group of educators that are as interested in technology as you are? Well, today we are speaking with Cate Tolnai, Director of Member Engagement for CUE. Cate explains all the wonderful advantages there are to joining a group like CUE.

“CUE, formerly, Computer-Using Educators, is a nonprofit educational corporation founded in 1978. CUE’s goal is to inspire innovative learners in all disciplines from preschool through college. With an active current membership of thousands of educational professionals, CUE supports many regional affiliates and Learning Networks. CUE Conferences are California’s premier educational technology events. CUE is the largest organization of its type in the west and one of the largest in the United States. Our members are important and as a value-added benefit, members are invited to participate in programs aimed at promoting and highlighting their success and achievements and furthering the mission of CUE. CUE inspires innovative learners by fostering community, personalizing learning, infusing technology, developing leadership, and advocating educational opportunities for all.” (CUE Website)

Cate Tolnai is a passionate fan of learning, coaching, and connecting. She works as the Director of Member Engagement for California’s ISTE Affiliate, CUE - an education non-profit for innovation in learning and leadership throughout California and Nevada. In her sixteenth year in K-12 education, Cate serves educators as they integrate technology-rich, future-ready learning in all learning environments. She has spent ten years in K-12 classrooms and five years coaching teachers and administrators at both the district and county levels. As a Google Certified Innovator and Trainer, she commits to supporting the integration of technology and teaching across grade levels and content areas. She loves to talk gamification, micro-certifications, blended and online learning, personalized PD, learning through play, and finding reasons to celebrate every victory step. #WeAreCUE #CUEchat #TeachersNeedIt #badgechat #Sketch50
