info_outlineAfter a frustrating run of games, the Sounders got back in the win column with a convincing performance against the colorado Rapids. Granted, this was an absolutely awful Rapids team -- one that’s been outscored 19-1 during what is now a six-game losing streak -- but you can only beat the teams you play, and the Sounders were every bit as good as you could ask.
This was by just about any metric, their best performance of the season and it tied a season high for goals scored without the help of an own-goal. They posted their best xGD and their best xGA.
