Black Man With A Gun

This week I want to honor a friend and announce a move. Congratulations to Rick Ector on his recent appointment to the NRA Board of Directors.  I personally know how much this means to him and know he will do the best he can as a representative of firearms trainers, counselors, and gun rights activist.  The guy has been focused and determined to save the lives of people in his home state of Michigan, especially the cities and women. He has single handedly created a space for women of color to get exposed and familiar with firearms in an untraditional environment.  As a gun...

Conversation with a Comedian   As I contemplated my life this week, I ran into a comedian named Clay Miles.  Although our conversation had nothing to do with guns and the Second Amendment it was good.  I wanted to learn about him and comedy. I needed to laugh. Maybe you do too.  I am pondering and thinking about what direction to take this show.  I took a moment to record and share it with you.  I have a few questions for you too.  Help me out.       Claymiles  Shalom Baby,   Kenn

Black Man With A Gun

Sharing some commentary and seeking your thoughts on what I said.  Sharing what it takes to get started as a gun owner in Maryland and giving kudos to the Virginia Citizens Defense League, VCDL.org for leading as a gun rights organization. The state of Maryland isn’t quite up to the level of New York or California when it comes to gun control, but it ain’t for lack of trying. Maryland has tons of gun control laws on the books, and none of them have made Baltimore any safer, but that won’t stop them from doing more. Thanks for sharing,   Shalom Baby, Rev. Shooting is Mental - 702 show art Shooting is Mental - 702

Black Man With A Gun

Gun ownership requires responsibility.  There is more mental energy required than just owning a gun and shooting it recreationally. (that is what I mean by Shooting is Mental) Training will save you money and save your life.  Seek some before you buy and you’ll thank me. Firearm ownership is not for everyone but it should be for anyone who has not given up his or her right to do so. Buying a firearm should be an educated decision not an emotional one. Shooting is mental because you have to navigate fact from fiction, and hype from reality. You have to make some judgement calls. You...

It’s been a month since the last episode and I want to give you an update and some personal information about myself so that you know what is going on.

How to make money with guns

The title may be a little on the click bait type side of things but I am going to share actually some things I have seen or tried and see if you know of someone that has done it too.  There is nothing new under the sun and maybe you can do a better job at it.

I want to really thank the people that have followed this show for more than a decade and those that support it through monthly donations through https://patreon.com/blackmanwithagun  I know its not the best platform for supporting a show but you have been faithful and it helps me.

I also want to thank you for supporting me personally through my recent  struggle and even those that have donated through GoFundme.  My wife will freak out when she finds out we had a campaign but despite my reservations, it was a Godsend.  That first bill in February could have taken me out.

If you want to contribute to the family gofundme thing for my wife.

https://gofund.me/a098f55b   I am paying $400 a day for her right now.

This week I shared that I am going through depression.  It is only temporary.  I am learning and working through it. I created a new YouTube channel to help people called http://spoonsays.com

I'm here to let you know that you matter.

I heard that one person can change your life. I don't know if I'm that one for you but together we can make a difference. There is a lot going on right now and sometimes one person gets lost in the noise. I have protected people all my life. I'm an veteran of many groups that experience depression, trauma and loss on a regular basis; military, law enforcement, and clergy.  I’d appreciate it if you’d help me make Spoon a thing.

I started a new YouTube channel for Spoon.  Will you help me reach my first 100 subscribers?

https://youtu.be/46H4BnLymh8

Here’s the national hotline for suicide prevention 1-800-273-8255 for the record, if you need it.

Again, thanks.  I appreciate you more than you know.  Working on getting back to full strength.  Those that know the words of prayer, throw one up for me will ya?
