The Rise of a One-World Government and Its Consequences for the Christian Community

The Rise of a One-World Government and Its Consequences for the Christian Community
The Rise of a One-World Government and Its Consequences for the Christian Community From a careful study of what the Bible says about the end times events, we have found six broad categories directly related to this topic. Each of these is significant in its own context, for the Christian community at least: (1) a one-world government is eventually to be established; (2) after a great war, there will be a need to heal and rebuild; (3) all the world's leaders will agree that the greater good will be served by all humanity becoming part of a one-world political system; (4) at first, the followers of Jesus, acknowledging the necessity of such a system, will support it; (5) once established, however, it will be co-opted by rulers intent upon gaining god-like power; (6) finally, the one-world government gives rise to Satan-inspired deceivers, leading unconverted people and many members within the Christian community. These servants of Satan, with the blasphemous name, are granted authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation.

The Hope and Assurance in Christ's Return
06/18/2024
The Hope and Assurance in Christ's Return
In our text, St. Peter refers to the return of Christ no fewer than five times (to say nothing of allusions or references to it elsewhere in those one and one-half chapters). This is the Apostle who is so strong on grace and life (a life which is a matter of relationship with God), that many have accused him of not caring about good works. Not at all. Peter knows that the behavior of Christians does not save them, but must be worked on, nurtured, strengthened, encouraged. The Christian life is to find the Him who is our way back to the Father, and to grow in appreciation of Him, in Christ. In giving us a life to live, God knows we need the motivation to live this life well. He knows that we need the motivation to live by grace through faith. He knows that we need it because we are so prone to think that if we are going to get what we are promised, we need to earn it. In His Word, God graciously and helpfully sets before us many motives to live new lives in Christ. And among the most motivating of them is the return of Christ, the Return Motive.

First, the only true and living God is the God who speaks.
06/17/2024
First, the only true and living God is the God who speaks.
We know who God is not because any of us was smart enough to figure Him out, but because out of His own love, grace, and mercy He has spoken to us. Moses says this explicitly in Deuteronomy 4:32: “To you it was shown, that you might know that the Lord is God; there is no other besides him.” The Israelites would not have known God at all unless He had spoken to them. This is the miracle of revelation, and I fear that we give this doctrine inadequate attention in our churches through our teaching and preaching. Instead of recognizing God’s speaking to us in Scripture as a miracle of grace, we treat it as of little account. Instead of preaching the Word of God, we preach pop psychology and culture, or we tell compelling stories. In Deuteronomy 4:10–19, Moses makes clear to the people of Israel that their very lives depended on hearing and obeying God’s Word: On the day that you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, the Lord said to me, “Gather the people to me, that I may let them hear my words, so that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children so.” And you came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, while the mountain burned with fire to the heart of heaven, wrapped in darkness, cloud, and gloom. Then the Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of words, but saw no form; there was only a voice. And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments, and he wrote them on two tablets of stone. And the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and rules, that you might do them in the land that you are going over to possess.

A Crisis of preaching In The Church

A Crisis of preaching In The Church
One of the hallmarks of our time is that we face a crisis of preaching. Indeed it would be an exercise in self-delusion if we tried to pretend that nothing is wrong with the preaching that happens in most evangelical churches. Let me ask some honest and difficult questions: If you picked an evangelical church at random and attended a Sunday morning service there, how likely is it that you would hear a faithful expository sermon, one that takes its message and its structure from the biblical text? If you answer that question honestly, you’ll admit that your expectation would not be very high. Further, do you believe that as time passes it is becoming more likely or less likely that you would hear an expository message in that random church? I am convinced that we add to the confusion by discussing expository preaching as merely one kind of preaching—or even the best kind. When we fall into that pattern, we do serious injury to the scriptural vision of preaching. Let’s be clear. According to the Bible, exposition is preaching. And preaching is exposition.

Introduction to Armageddon Prophecies
The Significance of Armageddon in Christian Beliefs In the realm of Christian beliefs, few topics garner as much attention and fascination as the concept of Armageddon. The mere mention of this apocalyptic event evokes a sense of awe and anticipation among believers. In this subchapter, we delve into the significance of Armageddon in Christian beliefs, exploring its prophetic origins, symbolism, and its impact on the faithful. Armageddon, as described in the book of Revelation, is the final battle between the forces of good and evil. It is the ultimate showdown between the righteous and the wicked, culminating in the triumphant return of Jesus Christ. Christian believers hold this event to be of paramount importance, as it represents the ultimate fulfillment of God's plan for humanity. The significance of Armageddon lies not only in its prophetic nature but also in its symbolic representation. It serves as a reminder of the eternal struggle between righteousness and sin, light and darkness. Armageddon embodies the ultimate victory of God's righteousness over the forces of evil, bringing about the restoration of a perfect and just world.

I AND MY FATHER

I AND MY FATHER
I AND MY FATHER John 5:17-43 The Gospel of John is the "Holy of Holies" in the tabernacle of the New Testament. John could no more invent the things taught in this book than he could make a ladder that would reach unto Heaven. John's Gospel is the Gospel of "the Father and the Son," or the Son's relationship to the Father. With the exception of Matthew 11:27, this great theme is almost never touched by the other evangelists. This is "holy ground." Let us approach it, as it were, with humble and unshod feet. From Christ's own lips we learn that: 1. HE WAS LOVED BY THE FATHER "The Father loveth the Son, and sheweth Him all things that Himself doeth" (John 5:20). One of the proofs of this love is that He "sheweth Him all things that Himself doeth." The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into His hand (John 3:35). It is the manner of our gracious God to manifest His love by giving (John 3:16).

FAITH: NATURE AND REWARD
FAITH: NATURE AND REWARD John 4 46 54 Some of God's brightest blessings come to us clothed in the dark weeds of mourning. If this nobleman's heart had not been moved through the sickness of his son, he never would have known the healing power of Jesus Christ through faith. Blessed is that sorrow which constrains us to go believingly to the Son of God. 1. AN EARNEST REQUEST "When he heard that Jesus was come... he went and besought Him that He would come down and heal his son" (John 4:47). He heard, he went, he besought. This is the workings of an honest heart. His request that Christ would "come down" shows faith in the power of His presence, but perhaps a lack of faith in His promise. The Lord would teach the nobleman and us that His Word is as good as Himself. "The words that I speak unto you are spirit and life." They have the same character as He Himself.

THE WOMAN OF SAMARIA

THE WOMAN OF SAMARIA
John 4:1-30 "He must needs go through Samaria." There was a must needs for every word Christ spoke, and for every act that He did. Those Jews, which had "no dealings with the Samaritans," usually avoided going through Samaria when journeying from Judea to Galilee; but Christ's love for sinners constrained Him to go that way. He lived not to please Himself, but to seek and to save the lost. In this He has left us an example that we should follow His steps. Meanwhile let us center our thoughts on the woman. See her as: 1. A FLAGRANT SINNER It is quite clear from John 4:18 that this woman lived in a condition of shameless immorality. She seems to have been the chief among this class of sinners. But Jesus knew when and where to find her. It is no mere coincidence to come into contact with the Son of God. He knows the way that we take. We Need more than a Teacher
John 3:2 We take Nicodemus as one of the best specimens of "religious humanity"; educated, moral, of high position and culture; a strict observer of religious rites, and seasons, and ordinances; a "ruler of the Jews," a "master of Israel," and a believer in Israel's promised Messiah. He ought to have fully known the Messiah's errand, and to have recognized Him at once when He came. But even Nicodemus, this well-instructed religious ruler and master, one of the leaders of the straightest sect, fails to understand Him.

Meet Belial the Demon
Does Failure and frustration seem to be your lot in life? Is your life characterized by continual setbacks and misfortune, missed opportunities, bad luck? Does it appear as though no matter what you do in life, you cannot seem to obtain the blessings of the Lord? Well let me tell you that you my just be bonded by a curse that is demonic and has been around for ages. You might think I'm out of my mind. However , there are things in the Bible that points to the demise of our country and of ourselves and loved one. Let us not be fooled for if we believe in Christ we have to also acknowledge the existence of satan. Since satan is the prince of air on this earth and he is not omnipresent or omnipotent that means he needs soldiers in his army because he cannot be everywhere at once or fight everyone at once. So when Lucifer the angel of light was thrown out of Heaven because he wanted to be like God and during that revolt many angels that were on his side they were expelled along with their ring leader down to the lowest depths of earth. So, from the moment Lucifer meaning angel of light was expelled so was also his name changed to satan meaning adversary. So satan since being expelled has had ages of practice in setting up his army and it does have structure like mayor demons minor demons but nevertheless they are demons. I want to bring to you attention one of satans major demon. Many of the curses that can affect a person's life come as a result of one of the most wicked and vile spirits in the kingdom of darkness-the spirit of belial. You might be saying where am I getting all this from but before I tell that. I must say that churches are falling church are failing church are deviating from the real sword the Bible. That's why our schools where our children attend have become war zones for their very souls ever since we took prayer out of our schools. Our social degradation as a people, individual as a nation has become so corrupt because it has turned its back on God. We have take the Ten Commandments out of our Judicial system. Our nation was created by God and to God we have to return. But we have to play our role as a true believer of Christ to ensure that happens.

An Exegetical Study of Romans 8:31

An Exegetical Study of Romans 8:31
An Exegetical Study of Romans 8:31 1. Introduction to the Book of Romans These difficulties reached a climax when the Emperor Claudius expelled the Jews from Rome in 49 AD. The expulsion of the Jews disrupted the Christian organization in Rome. The Gentile Christians took over the leadership of the Church. When the Jews returned, synagogue worship spilled over into the Christian Church. The Jewish and Gentile Christians refused to recognize the leadership of each other, so the Church was in disarray when Paul wrote the book of Romans from Corinth. The book was written in 57 AD. The church of Rome had been in existence for twenty-five years before the book was written. However, the church of Rome faced some difficulties. The Jews of Rome did not accept Christianity, so the church was made up mostly of Gentiles. Differences, tension, and some prejudice developed between the Jewish Christians and the Gentile Christians. The book of Romans was written by the Apostle Paul to a group of Christians in Rome. It consists of sixteen chapters and is an epistle. This book makes a very sophisticated, thorough, and coherent presentation of the gospel, salvation, and the role of sanctification in the life of the believer. The Book of Romans, the sixth book of the New Testament, is an important book in today's world. It has proven to be the most influential and dominant book of the New Testament since the writings of Irenaeus. It also holds a position of importance in the Church. It is the foundation of the Protestant Reformation.

Paul’s ministry - Romans 15:14–21
Welcome to A Voice in the Desert, I'm your host César. Today, we will be diving into Romans 15:14–21, where Paul talks about his role as a minister to the Gentiles. In this passage, Paul starts off by commending the believers in Rome, acknowledging their goodness, knowledge, and ability to instruct one another. However, he also mentions that he is writing to them boldly as a reminder of the grace given to him by God. Paul sees himself as a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving in the priestly role of spreading the gospel of God. Paul's ministry to the Gentiles was not in vain, as he mentions that through the power of signs, wonders, and the Spirit of God, he was able to bring the Gentiles to obedience. He emphasizes that his work was not in his own strength, but rather through what Christ had accomplished through him. Paul's ambition was to preach the gospel where Christ was not yet known, in order to fulfill his ministry of spreading the message of Christ. As Paul quotes from the Old Testament in verse 21, "Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand," we see his passion for reaching those who have not yet heard the gospel. This reflects the heart of God, who desires for all people to come to know Him and be saved. Paul's ministry to the Gentiles serves as an example for us today. We are called to be ministers of Christ, spreading the good news of salvation to those who have not yet heard. Just like Paul, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to carry out this mission, knowing that it is not by our own strength but by the grace of God. As we reflect on Paul's words in Romans 15:14–21, let us be encouraged to boldly proclaim the gospel to those around us. Let us be filled with the same passion and ambition that drove Paul to reach the lost, knowing that God is at work in and through us to bring salvation to all who will hear. Thank you for joining me on this episode of A Voice in the Desert. Tune in next time as we continue to explore the Word of God and its relevance to our lives today. Remember, you are a minister of Christ, called to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. God bless.

An Eternity with God

An Eternity with God
Welcome to the A Voice in the Desert podcast, where we dive deep into spiritual and thought-provoking topics to explore the mysteries of faith and the teachings of the Bible. In today's episode, we will be discussing what it will be like to be in eternity with God according to the Bible. The concept of eternity with God is a central theme in Christian theology, and it is described in various ways throughout the Bible. It is a topic that has fascinated believers for centuries, as we try to grasp the unfathomable nature of spending eternity in the presence of the Almighty. One of the most well-known passages that speaks to this idea is found in the book of Revelation. In Revelation 21:3-4, we read, "And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.'" This passage paints a vivid picture of what it will be like to be in eternity with God - a place of comfort, peace, and joy where all suffering and pain will be no more. It speaks to the idea of being in perfect communion with God, where He will be our constant companion and source of strength and comfort. Another passage that sheds light on the concept of eternity with God is found in 1 Corinthians 2:9, which says, "But, as it is written, 'What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.'" This verse emphasizes the unimaginable nature of what awaits those who love God and seek to be in His presence for eternity. It speaks to the idea that our human minds cannot fully comprehend the wonders and beauty that God has in store for us in the afterlife. In addition to these passages, the Bible also describes eternity with God as a place of worship and praise. In Revelation 4:8-11, we read about the heavenly creatures and elders who constantly worship and glorify God, saying, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!" This imagery of worship and praise paints a picture of a place where we will be able to fully express our love and devotion to God in a way that we cannot fully comprehend in our current earthly existence. It speaks to the idea that eternity with God will be a place of unending joy and fulfillment as we worship and glorify Him for all eternity. Overall, the Bible paints a beautiful and awe-inspiring picture of what it will be like to be in eternity with God. It speaks to the idea of a place of perfect peace, joy, and fulfillment where all suffering and pain will be no more. It describes a place where we will be in perfect communion with God, worshiping and praising Him for all eternity. As we reflect on these passages and meditate on the idea of eternity with God, let us be filled with hope and anticipation for the glorious future that awaits us in His presence. May we continue to seek Him with all our hearts and live our lives in a way that honors and glorifies Him, knowing that one day we will be in His presence for all eternity. Thank you for joining us on this episode of the A Voice in the Desert podcast. Stay tuned for more thought-provoking discussions on faith and spirituality. In addition to the descriptions of eternity with God found in the Bible, there are also various interpretations and perspectives from theologians and scholars throughout history that offer further insights into this profound topic.

The Parable of Jesus In Modern interpretation.
04/25/2024
The Parable of Jesus In Modern interpretation.
The Parables of Jesus in Modern Interpretation Jesus of Nazareth, a seminal figure in Christian faith, is renowned not just as a spiritual guide and savior but also an unmatched storyteller. Using simple, everyday illustrations, he tackled complex theological and moral conundrums. His parables, varied and compelling tales, have engaged theologians, scholars, and ordinary people for centuries, revealing the multifaceted dimensions of spiritual truth. While their inherent messages endure over time, they possess a dynamic quality that allows for modern interpretation and application to contemporary issues. Intriguingly, parables were a distinctive hallmark of Jesus's teaching method. Sublime in their simplicity yet profound in their implications, these stories brought forth a transformative approach to understanding spiritual and ethical principles. Remarkably, parables are more than mere allegories or metaphors. In essence, they engage the listener or reader on multiple levels, encouraging introspection, inquiry, and, sometimes, inviting controversy and debate. The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) constitutes a prime example that remarkably corresponds to modern-day discourses on ethnicity, nationality, and racial harmony. It tells of a man, presumably a Jew, who was assaulted and left half-dead by the roadside. A priest and a Levite, despite being of the same ethnic group and religious lineage, pass by without assisting. It is a Samaritan, viewed with disdain and prejudice by Jews of the time, who stops to help the victim compassionately. This parable invites us, as contemporary readers, to challenge our prejudices and redefine our understanding of 'neighbor'. It underlines the mandate to show mercy across ethnic, national, and social boundaries, a message of utmost relevance in today's era of increasing social fragmentation. Another compelling tale is the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32), which beautifully encapsulates the concepts of sin, repentance, and divine forgiveness. In this narrative, a younger son squanders his inheritance prematurely, lives a debauched life, and ultimately lands in destitution. Recognizing his misstep, he returns home, prepared to accept the status of a servant. However, his father, filled with mercy, welcomes him warmly and even arranges a celebratory feast. This provokes resentment in the elder son, who had always been obedient. The father gently reminds the elder that all he has is his, while the rejoicing was due to the lost son's return. A modern interpretation could address issues like the tendency to judge others, the apportioning of blame, and the exploration of repentance, grace, and second chances. Moreover, it fosters the discussion on familial relationships and addresses the destructive nature of envy and pride, sentiments exacerbated in the modern world due to the 'highlight reel' culture of social media. The Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:3-23) provides a metaphor on disseminating 'the word of the kingdom' and the varied responses it garners. The sower sows seeds on different types of ground: the path, rocky places, thorns, and good soil – each representing a type of listener. Through this parable, we can reflect on how we receive the Word of God in an era overwhelmed with information and knowledge. Are we too distracted or hardened by the complexities and challenges of the modern world to genuinely engage with and act upon those heavenly insights? Each parable unravels the spiritual truths of our human existence - they provide guidelines on how to navigate life's turbulences faithfully and morally. The Parable of the Mustard Seed (Matthew 13:31-32) embodies the power of faith in bringing about change in our individual lives and society. The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant (Matthew 18:21-35) issues a profound reminder about forgiveness in an age where individuals often harbor resentment and grudges. In conclusion, while the parables were birthed in a cultural and historical context vastly different from our own, they transcend these boundaries through their timeless wisdom. They act as mirrors, reflecting our societal norms, personal shortcomings, and spiritual struggles. The modern interpretations are countless, each offering renewed perspectives enlightening our understanding of faith, morality, benevolence, humility, perseverance, and love. Indeed, the Parables of Jesus continue to provide a crucial moral and spiritual compass guiding us through today's contemporary world immersed in constant evolution.

CHRIST THE LIFE AND LIGHT OF MEN
04/10/2024
CHRIST THE LIFE AND LIGHT OF MEN
CHRIST, THE LIFE AND LIGHT OF MEN John 1:1-5 The Gospel of John has been well called "the Gospel of Eternity," for it is the Gospel of God. John was a specially prepared vessel for this very honorable ministry. He had been from his youth a beloved apostle. "His head had rested on the Lord's breast, he had stood beside the Cross, had witnessed the Ascension, had cherished till her death the Mother of the Lord, had seen the Jewish dispensation closed and the Holy City overthrown, and to him the beatific visions of the Apocalypse had been granted" (Alford Plummer). The great purpose of this Gospel is very fittingly expressed in chapter John 20:31. "These have been written that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye may have life in His Name." All the keywords of his Gospel are found in this verse. The opening words of this chapter are among the most profound ever penned by the hand of man. They reveal a three-fold relationship of the Lord Jesus Christ in His: 1. RELATIONSHIP TO GOD He is called the Word, the "Logos." Christ Himself is the uttered speech and thought of God. He is the visible expression of the invisible God. "For the life which was with the Father was manifested unto us" (1 John 1:2). This Word was in the beginning. "The Lord possessed Me in the beginning of His ways...I was daily His delight" (Pro. 8:22-30). The Word was with God. Yes, more, the Word was God. Man's finite mind cannot grasp the mystery of the Trinity, but the devout believer can bow and adore. That He who was in the form of God, and thought it not robbery to be equal with God, should make Himself of no reputation, taking upon Him the form of a servant, and dying on a Cross for the sin of the world, is a mystery of grace that can only be fathomed by the mystery of the Trinity. 2. RELATIONSHIP TO CREATION "All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made" (John 1:3). Paul taught the same doctrine, "God... created all things by Jesus Christ" (Eph. 3:9) It pleased God to bring the old creation into being through the instrumentality of His Son; it has also pleased Him that the new creation should be "in Christ Jesus." By Him He made the worlds (Heb. 1:2), and by Him He seeks also to redeem this world lost in sin. He by whom God made all things has also made peace by the Blood of His Cross. The Lord Jesus Christ as the Word of God holds the same position towards the new creation as He did to the old. "Without Him was not anything made." Without Him God did nothing, so without Him we can do nothing. All things were created by Him and for Him, and by Him all things consist or hold together. He is the center and support of all, as well as the Maker. "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory, and honor, and power; for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created" (Rev. 4:11). If all things were created for His pleasure, surely He shall see of the travail of His soul and be satisfied. 3. RELATIONSHIP TO MEN "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." Why is the Life spoken of as the light of men, and not of creation? He has made the Light of the material universe, but He is the Light of men. Man is something distinct from and superior to other created things. He is a personality that needs the Divine Personality to meet his every want. "In Him was life." The source of life was in Him, and God, in giving us His Son hath given to us eternal life (1 John 5:11). The life manifested in Christ Jesus is the true light which should lighten every man coming into the world. I am come that they might have life. Christ as the Word of God is that living bread which came down from Heaven, that a man may eat and not die. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Then observe- 1) What this light is – "The life was the light." 2) Where this light shines – "The light shineth in darkness." Christ as the Light did not shine on the darkness of the world, but in the darkness. He was made flesh, and dwelt among us. His own words are, "I am come a light into the world" (John 12:46). The purpose of the light is to overcome the darkness. The center of this darkness is the human heart. The God who commanded light to shine out of darkness is He who hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of God (2 Cor. 4:6). 3) The effect of its shining – "The darkness comprehended it not." Two words are used in the Revised Version-one in the text and the other in the margin- which if taken separately bring out the twofold result of this shining of the true light. (1) The darkness apprehended it not. The darkness of willful unbelief remained unconscious of the dawning of this new day – "they knew not the time of their visitation" (Luke 19:42-44). (2) The darkness overcame it not. Thank God, that in the case of many the darkness of sin and fear was not able to overcome or resist the bright shining of His truth. No matter how dense the darkness is, it cannot in any way overcome the purity or purpose of the light. The light shines on, but men may condemn themselves by loving the darkness rather than the light (John 3:19).

As Christians, our lives should bear witness to the love and righteousness of God. **Guidance on Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving** Jesus provides practical guidance on spiritual practices such as prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. He emphasizes the importance of sincerity and humility in our acts of devotion.
