Perloff and I discuss consolidation of power, some of the Founders’ foundational errors, the South and the Yankee Empire, ecumenism, godless infiltration within all forms of Christianity, as well as the beauty of Orthodoxy, Church history, post-biblical miracles, Saints, and silver linings. Sure, “Satan’s a long-term planner,” but there’s nothing that screws up his evil schemes better than people choosing the Narrow Path. SECRET HISTORY NOTE: I was remiss in mentioning to Perloff that there was a Founding-era Virginian who was not high-church Anglican but was Orthodox Christian: . Nearly 30 years before Russians began bringing the Faith to and a century prior to Orthodox people groups started immigrating to these , Colonel Ludwell was received into the Orthodox Church in 1738, making him the first known Orthodox convert in North America. Cherubic Hymn: Liturgical Music Symposium, Oct. 2022

Cherubic Hymn: Liturgical Music Symposium, Oct. 2022
This hymn was recorded October 22, 2022, during the 3-day symposium at in Blountville, Tennessee. The choir was comprised of Orthodox singers from Tennessee, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Missouri, Alabama, and a few even beyond those Southern climes. Choir director: . The Cherubic Hymn is the primary cherubikon (Gr: χερουβικόν), or song of the angels, sung during every Divine Liturgy of the year with the exception of the liturgies of the Presanctified Gifts and those of Holy Thursday and Holy Saturday. It occurs after the Gospel reading and is interrupted by the Great Entrance. The Cherubic Hymn was added to the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom by order of the Emperor Justinian near the end of the sixth century. The words of the Cherubic Hymn are as follows:"We, who mystically represent the Cherubim,And chant the thrice-holy hymn to the Life-giving Trinity,Let us set aside the cares of lifeThat we may receive the King of all,Who comes invisibly escorted by the Divine Hosts." Though the actual text is short, the hymn lasts for quite a while due to its drawn-out, ethereal style. It is our best imitation of and supplement to the singing of the Heavenly Hosts. In either 573 or 574, Justinian I had the Cherubic Hymn added to the standard liturgy. The previous cherubikon used was that of the Liturgy of St. James, which had then been borrowed into the Liturgy of St. Basil. This hymn, beginning with the phrase "Let all mortal flesh keep silent" is currently only used on Holy Saturday. (The cherubikon used on Holy Thursday begins, "Of thy mystical supper..."). During the period of the fourth to sixth centuries, the shape of the Eastern Divine Liturgy reached its final form under the guidance of liturgists such as St. John Chrysostom. In this same period the major formative changes occurred, most of which resulted in liturgical components that corresponded to the Church's developing theological understanding. Among them were the hymn "Only-Begotten Son" and the addition of the Nicean-Constantinopolitan Creed (countering heresies), and "The Trisagion Hymn" reflecting the Trinitarian theology being currently defined. In this period and on through the ninth century, hymns were composed and added to the Divine Liturgy, such as the Cherubic Hymn, sung while the priest recites the prayer that is now called "The Prayer of the Cherubic Hymn.” Source:

Alexander, a semi-retired lawyer who has twice run for local public office in his hometown of Memphis, is not one to shy away from provocative topics. So we talk about the triumph of liberalism and how its destructive intent came to be through coercive “civil rights,” cultural pessimism, and lawfarism, as well as the need for those on the right to not shy away from the institutions. Alexander also discusses the Eliza Fletcher murder by Cleoth Abston and Ezekiel Kelly’s killing spree, both of which took place in Memphis and are summarily ignored by the subversive corporate media since the perps are black and the victims overwhelmingly white. Mark Beck is the founder CEO and now chairman of , a data management and analysis private company. Beck, who describes himself as “anti-corporate,” has used his management and operating skills, and his financial resources to found American Classic Commercial Landmarks: a National Historic Registry property acquisition, restoration, and management venture. In other words, Beck buys old buildings and renovates them with historical preservation as a central focus. He has already completed two such projects – one in Mooresville, NC, and the other in Charleston, SC – and is now working on his third: restoring the West Jefferson Hotel in Ashe County, NC. Beck and I discuss why he considers restoration of historic landmark commercial properties as his “social mission,” his past projects like the beautiful in the Holy City, forensic architecture, why this self-proclaimed “wiley peasant” with Michigan roots has such a rebel spirit and resolve in restoring the South’s valuable culture through its grand buildings, and, of course, his latest undertaking in re-establishing the past glory of the Historic Old Hotel. “ … resulted in the entire town going into a renaissance once I kicked their ass in the venue they chose: local NC Superior Court,” Beck said of the intrigue surrounding the West Jefferson restoration. “Landmarks count and they represent the unique culture of a community. Once they are gone, they are gone for good,” he continued. “All the losing town ends up with is a gas station convenience store selling beer and boxed pizza, a blood plasma donation center in a dumpy place with a big parking lot, and a drive-through drug store fulfilling mostly prescribed poisons. I call this setup ‘medical plantations.’” “Landmarks go derelict because, like America, the current-era grifts off the past by milking and destroying the substance, elegance, and productivity of a hard-working and inventive people who built things to last for their family and community.” Regarding Beck’s last point, I strongly suggest y’all read my friend ’ article “.” And for additional information on the independent entrepreneur’s current project, see “” and “,” and be sure to follow the . Dissident Mama, episode 60 (part 1) – Pedro L. Gonzalez
Pedro L. Gonzalez is the former assistant editor of and now associate editor at . His articles have appeared in The Washington Times, The Spectator, RealClearPolitics, The Federalist, and others, and he’s been featured on Fox News' “Tucker Carlson Tonight” and “Tucker Carlson Today,” The Hill's “Rising with Krystal & Saagar,” Newsmax’s “Sovereign Nation” with Michelle Malkin, The Daily Caller's “Jorge Ventura Report,” and elsewhere. Gonzalez also creates : home of his Contra newsletter, his podcast , and his column . He’s a tough-as-nails truth teller, so be sure to check out Gonzalez’s content, as well as his hot takes on . Even though this interview released on July 11, it was conducted on May 27 yet never released. As you will hear, my audio’s quite crunchy in spots, so much so, that I had originally decided not to publish my chat with Gonzalez for fear that it would keep listeners from enjoying the show. However, because Gonzalez sounds clear as a bell and the talk is really about him and not me, I’ve decided (with his approval) to finally release the episode. Moreover, Gonzalez, who is seemingly the most gracious guy in all of alternative journalism, even granted me a second interview. Thus, what you find here is part 1 of a 2-part series. In this episode, Gonzalez and I discuss everything from growing up as a first-generation American in rural California, the US as a “civilization in crisis,” the “white shame industry,” and nationalism, to leftism as “inherently imperialistic, the “over-saturation of tragedy,” the importance of capturing local and state governments, and Ukraine. Articles of interest include: “,” “,” and “” by Gonzalez; ’ and ’ takes on neocon Douglas Murray’s attempt to cancel Gonzalez, and Gonzalez’s . Be sure not to miss the followup episode, folks. Not only is our continued conversation an interesting and provocative one, but part 2’s audio is quite seamless all around – easy listening on some pretty hard topics.

Dissident Mama, episode 59 - Kaleb of Atlanta
Kaleb of Atlanta, a.k.a. Patriarch Prime, is an Orthodox Christian, a writer, and a popular Twitter provocateur who has recently landed in the woke cross hairs. Kaleb says his “intent is to spread the Orthodox Faith to African Americans,” but the straightforward, bold evangelism of this “maker of many radicals” crosses all racial lines and is simply way too effective for left-wing subversives who thrive upon dissension and destruction. Kaleb and I talk about that got him in such hot heterodox water, evangelism in the Orthosphere, the danger of doxxing, what it means to be “,” bias against Orthodox converts, his conversion to the Faith, the gaslighting "religion experts" known as Fordhamites, and more. You can follow and direct message Kaleb on and read his articles at . Other links pertaining our conversation include: A prominent propagandist taking notice of Prime’s “triggering” tweet; A grrrrrl claiming that this “young man from the American South” is a “threat to democracy” and a “threat to Orthodoxy and the authority of the Church”; And my essay “” which features a few shout-outs to Prime as a brave defender of the Ludwell Orthodox Fellowship, agape love, and good ol' fashioned common sense.
