Today’s guest are Emyli & Thomas from Emlovz! Dating can be magical, a deep love and connection with someone that you could spend the rest of your life with ... or it can be soul destroying journey of coffee dates, rejection and misery as you meet people who are nothing like their bio's. So what's the solution? We find someone who has trialed going on tonnes of dates to learn what works and what doesn't, so you can learn from their successes, avoid their mistakes and shorten your journey to meeting the right person or people you want to date. So who will be our dating gurus? Introducing Emyli and Thomas! The show-notes can be found at: https://www.nextlevelguy.com/emlovz192/ Emyli is the Head Coach & Co-founder, and completed a 100-date experiment and went on 101 dates with 52 different men. Research from the experiment became the foundation for her coaching program, and today she is an expert at helping men & women find love, using a method called MegaDating, which is the process of dating multiple people at the same time to diffuse energy & increase confidence. Their theory is: do the work to find the right partner from the start, then we can avoid divorce & unhappiness in the long run. Thomas, Coach and Co-founder spent six years being single in San Francisco — one of the most treacherous cities for men to date. During this time, he researched and experimented heavily with dating, courtship, and mate selection. He conducted numerous data-driven psychology, communication, & relationship strategy experiments – which ultimately led me to meeting Emyli & ending her 100-Date Experiment. Years later, we’re still together & happily married. Today they help men & women just like you reach these very same milestones. They train you to win first place in love by attracting your perfect partner by treating dating as a social experiment!

Her medical training enabled her to work in South America where she trekked up mountains, slept in a hammock and delivered medical care to local indigenous people, and also in Zimbabwe, where she carried our research to facilitate CRADLE (Community Blood Pressure Monitoring in Rural Africa; Detection of Underlying Pre-eclampsia) which has now taken off in over 10 countries with the purpose of reducing maternal mortality and morbidity. Whilst Cordelia loved aspects of being a doctor, deep down she wasn’t feeling deeply fulfilled or having the impact in the world that she desired. She was aware that there was something more to her, that she wasn’t fulfilling her true potential or living the kind of lifestyle she wanted to. As a consequence of being stuck for some years, Cordelia suffered from high-functioning depression and eventually found herself on the burnout continuum. Shortly after she lost her 47 year old brother to suicide. With such a stark reminder of how short life can be, Cordelia decided to take her career and her life in a new direction. Cordelia now works with achievers who are feeling trapped, restricted or compromised in some way to excel, become extraordinary and create ever-increasing levels of both health, wellbeing and external success. As a high-performance coach, her work is dedicated to helping people get their sparkle and their 'A game' back and achieve success whilst maintaining a healthy life and positive relationships. She now lives a nomadic life but plans to settle down in one of her favourite cities, Barcelona in the near future. I would like to dedicate this episode to the memory of Dr Peel's brother. Episode #176 Adam Lane Smith on love, attachment and better relationships

Episode #176 Adam Lane Smith on love, attachment and better relationships
Today’s guest is Adam Lane Smith! Adam is an attachment specialist and a two-time #1 Amazon bestselling novelist and a retired licensed psychotherapist specializing in trauma and attachment with experience in both clinical and correctional mental health settings. That includes his work in the California justice system where he treated inmates facing the death penalty. Adam worked for years as a licensed psychotherapist and now focuses his specialty as an Attachment Specialist. Through his new role, Adam helps people build a new foundation for their life. Fixing attachment issues as their core means you can transform your relationships in marriage, dating, work, friendship, and family. By showing his clients how to repair their attachment wounds, Adam teaches people to open up to others, find their voice, receive the love they’ve always wanted, and live without fear. To view the show notes, please visit: https://www.nextlevelguy.com/adamlanesmith176/ #AdamLaneSmith #Dating #Relationships #Attachment #Attachmentspecialist #Author #fixyourattachmentwounds #livewithoutfear #corevalues #whatdoyouwantfromlife #marriage #friendship #fixyourpasttoliveabetterfuture #psychotherapy #betterrelationships #connectbetter #findanewpartner #insecurity #confidence #jealousy #lifegoals #safe #emotions #depression #love #youcanchange Here are some key points that I would advise you to concentrate on We all have attachments to things that were shaped from our childhood. Many are OK and help create your personality, but many are currently holding you back from what you want to achieve in life. Your attachment style is shaped from your earliest memories and interactions with people from being a baby onwards. t's not always them that you miss when you think about an ex, it can be how they made you feel that you miss them! This blew away my oneitis I was feeling for an ex when he said: "But if we don't get good Love, warmth, bonding, nurturing openness acceptance, trust and security in our relationships. All the things that secure attachment would give us ... Start losing all of those benefits and we think about that 1 time that we got it from that one person and usually the most ah the most manipulative people ... it's like heroin ... you've craved it all your life and now you can't stop thinking about it and you think about that person for the rest of your life when you're lonely when you're hurting. And you're lost. This is why people go back to their bad exes and this is why people stay with a bad partner is because they've been addicted to that person through oxytocin so you asked me the process of fixing that well you need to learn as you fix your attachment how to bond to your family and friends" "Vulnerability does not mean just crying, vulnerability means sharing something painful and asking for assistance in solving it that is what men need to remember." "... no matter where you are at in this believing. No matter where are you are at in in hurting and feeling alone and feeling that you don't deserve love or that you'll never find Love I Want to tell you I work with people in their seventies who are changing right now ... I've worked with people who've killed multiple people. And still find that pathway through and change and build a better life I Want to tell you that I work with people in their sixties who say I never had kids and I don't know what the purpose of life is now and we find it. There is never a point where it's too late as long as you are breathing if you just believe even a tiny amount that you can change. ... You can change and you can find the better pieces and build a better life. No matter where you are. So if you feel like it's hopeless. Please don't feel that. It is not hopeless. Not by a long shot." "Instead of an illness system of mental health I was looking at a response system with mental health that mental illnesses were responsive and and responding to environmental issues and attachment issues. So when we fix the attachment issues mental ill mental illnesses quote unquote started to go away." Your attachment style shapes how you interact with people in society, how you interact with partners in relationships and how you act when people try to connect on a deep level with you. You can find Oxycontin outwith a relationship by connecting on a deeper level with your family and friends through having deeper and better conversations with them. "Same thing if you're starving for oxytocin, never go dating starving for oxytocin same thing (like you should never go shopping when hungry) you're going to pick up junk food that's going to make you feel really good at first and then gonna make you feel sick over time ... fill up with oxytocin with family and friends then go out dating build real compatibility. And then slowly build oxytocin bonding in when you have the right person that you can actually trust. That's the right method for getting over an ex and for grabbing the right partner." "If you start with the belief that you can never truly connect to another human being and that your entire world is going to be a series of transactions of I'm going to make other people so happy that they will either do what I want or they won't leave me. Your whole world comes down to a ledger sheet about how much you have done to make other people like you and just push and buttons the whole world then feels like a video game that you can never stop playing because you have to keep everybody's meters full everywhere you go. It's exhausting" Attachment issues are affecting many men in today's society, but many of the health treatment modalities are not designed to treat the cause, they only treat the symptoms, and Adam looks to not only treat the symptoms but show you what causes it and how to fix the issue. A good first step is to look at your past relationships, to see how you interacted as a unit, what went right and wrong, to see how your actions are shaped by your attachment style. "It's very common for men with attachment issues to not have close male friends ... Male friends are harder for men with attachment issues because they will push us ... There will be friction. It will be uncomfortable. There will be tension. There will be confrontations and attachment says every confrontation is death so don't ever confront, don't ever do that. That's that's what a lot of men are dealing with." I love Adam's take on pick-up, on how its working transactions and not real connection, therefore you are always trying to 'win' rather than actually connecting and leaving something of value: "... when you learn pickup game and red pill and stuff like that, it's just a different system. It doesn't teach you to stop and connect human to human with a woman and build an intimate loving bond. It says do these things and it will make her you know wet all over the place and then she will just be crazy for you ... it's not how humans are supposed to work so no matter how advanced you make the video game no matter how fun you make the video game at the end of the day you are just a man living and pushing buttons and getting fake rewards that just plunge you full of dopamine but give you nothing at the end of the day you don't have human contact. You don't have human bonding. You have no human impact you have no human legacy when you die you will have left behind a bunch of naked women who will move on to the next guy. And that's it. You don't leave behind people whose lives are fundamentally changed. You don't leave behind people who say that was a man of honor and because he lived honorably he will live on." "... attachment is the ability to connect to another human being to give and receive love you start learning this as a child the moment you are born." You should use your life goals and your core values to filter potential partners, instead of chasing feelings, you should chase compatibility in these areas, and this will allow you to find deep-level connection. Fixing your attachment issues can be life changing but very challenging: "... it is unconditioning the brain from that from that childlike terror that no one will ever love you. That is a level of resistance. That's why people don't fix it on their own ... That's why people need to fix it now so that they don't live with that fear for the rest of their lives." Adam's tip on finding the right person for you, by going to the right place hit home to me - the place you look for a partner defines the type of partner you will meet and potentially connect with: "... you approach marriage with a person and dating with a person the same way you would approach co-founding a business imagine you are co-founding the business of marriage. Would you want to find a cofounder for your business drunk in the bathroom at a bar or would you like to find the cofounder for your business in church beside you or spending time with their family quietly or in a in a good self-improvement but class or dancing class. Or somewhere fun or somewhere wholesome. Where would you like to find them?"

Episode #175 Max Miller on food, YouTube and Tasting History!
05/31/2023
Episode #175 Max Miller on food, YouTube and Tasting History!
Today’s guest is Max Miller! Max Miller is the creator and host of the viral digital series Tasting History with Max Miller on YouTube. Prior to his YouTube stardom, Max was an employee of Walt Disney Studios in the marketing and film distribution departments. When the COVID-19 stay-at-home order went into effect in Los Angeles, Max was furloughed and began turning his passion for historic dishes into a self-taped video series. Within weeks of his first video on YouTube, Max’s channel and videos reached hundreds of thousands of viewers who wanted to learn more about historic dishes. Max’s channel has been covered in outlets like America’s Test Kitchen, ABC’s Localish, Chowhound, Foodsided, GLAAD, KTLA Morning News, A Hot Dog Is a Sandwich podcast, PopCulture, Rachael Ray, Today, UPROXX, and Yahoo!. Max currently resides in Los Angeles, California, with his husband, José, and their two cats. The Show-Notes can be found at Here are some key points that I would advise you to concentrate on Max was inspired by the stories told by his family "You know the passion for history comes from forever ago when I was a little little kid I I think in large part it came from listening to my grandparents my grandpa and and my nana on my mom's side especially would tell me stories of the great depression and world war II and what it was like growing up in the 1920's and 1930's and it was just such a foreign world to you know an 8 year old living in Phoenix in 1990 or whatever. But the way that they told it I was able to be there. They were such good storytellers and ever since then I've always seen history just as stories now. " Max is self-taught when it comes to making videos, cooking and baking etc. He found the resources he needed to learn as the need to use these skills came up. It is OK not to know everything, you can admit you need help, find suitable coaches and experts to assist where needed, fill in knowledge gaps and improve, even if working towards that 1% improvement every day, you are growing and developing. I love Max's channel in that it allows you to understand our history and how our diets and food preparation and cooking methods are shaped, and how things may change in the future. Max started cooking when he watched a well known TV show: "... when it comes to cooking. It actually started with the great british bake off I've always been a fan of eating but I had never baked or cooked anything until I saw that show and and I think it was. Excuse me the accessibility of of that show. It's you know it's so different than an american cooking competition where it's like take these 5 ingredients with squid ink and paper clips and make a gourmet meal" If you want to make videos but feel nervous, why not do what Max does and pretend you are speaking to a friend instead of a camera, and he chats like an interaction rather than filming, and takes the stress of himself and just has a conversation. Are you inspired by Max to cook more and not sure where to start as you aren't very experienced in the kitchen? Then Max advises "... soups and stews are just the easiest and most forgiving thing to start with there's there's little work that you have to do. It's usually just put everything into the pot and let it go." COVID actually helped Max in getting furloughed, and almost forcing his time to be spent on his new channel. I think we need to remember that all threats can be considered as opportunities if we reframe them correctly. Curiosity is a diamond to develop within yourself. Max talks about finding his interest spiking when he finds a topic or area he knows little about and loves that he gets to learn and grow during these episodes. You won't change if you stay in your comfort zone, so you need to step outside what you know, become a beginner again and chase learning and curiosity to find out more in life! The food our ancestors eat, can be a great way to learn about ourslelves, our culture, our health and where we have come from. Fear will always be there when you need to step outside of your comfort zone, the top experts I have spoken to say it is always there. They find that acknowledging it, some actually give it a name and chat to it, and fear loses it power over you. Speak to your fear, try box breathing, realise the fear is there to keep you safe, so figure out how to reduce potential dangers and go for it. "...you say history is written by the winners. Um, and and. I Do agree that that is so often true, but for me history is written by the people who write things down because not every the the Mongolian Empire they were the winners but they didn't write anything down so we actually everything we know or most of what we know about them comes. From the people they conquered who were writing things down so most of it's not very flattering." "... you know I was very fortunate that my parents always had us trying new foods and and different things different different types of cuisine. So you know i'm. I haven't always just been a macaroni craft macaroni and cheese and fticaks kind of kind of guy. But um so I've I've always enjoyed trying new things but no matter how delicious something is a new food is. Is never going to give you the same feeling as the food that you ate when you were a kid that just makes you feel safe and you know hindins ketchup on fresht fries or butter. It's the the stuff that you grow up with is. Has a different power over you and that is something that is universal I mean mexican food in general I I grew up eating a lot of mexican food I get a different feeling when I eat it. It's not necessarily that it tastes better though. It does. But it's also the feeling the emotions that are attached to that food"

Episode #174 Hasard Lee on the art of decision making and clear thinking!
Today’s guest is Hasard Lee! Today is a little different, I wanted to chat to Hasard about his stunning new book ' The Art of Clear Thinking'. A normal, full indepth interview will follow later in the year. Hasard is an F-35 fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He's flown over 1,000 hours in the F-16, including 82 combat missions. He is a mission commander and is the only fighter pilot in history to fly two different types of jets into combat on the same day. Based on a career of making high-stakes, split-second decisions as an elite U.S. fighter pilot, The Art of Clear Thinking teaches readers how to make better decisions in everyday life. The training to become a fighter pilot is among the most competitive and difficult in the world with less one-in-a-thousand succeeding. Pushing a cutting-edge jet to its limits at over 1,000 mph means that every split-second decision can have catastrophic consequences. This extreme environment has forged a group of warriors who for the last 50 years have been considered at the apex of decision-making theory and practice. In 'The Art of Clear Thinking' Hasard distills what he’s learned during his career flying some of the Air Force’s most advanced aircraft. Through riveting storytelling—both from his time as a fighter pilot and fascinating turning point throughout history—Hasard relates to the audience in a compelling and accessible way that makes the book as entertaining as it is useful. Hasard has used and taught these decision-making techniques across the full spectrum of human endeavor and proved their effectiveness both in the cockpit and the boardroom. Those who have already benefited include CEO’s, astronauts, CIA agents, students, parents, and many others. The Art of Clear Thinking is a book that will change how you interact with the world around you. Please see the show notes for the life changing hacks and tips!

And while Kelly claims to only “tolerate” the ice bath, according to Juliet he actually likes that, too. The Ready State is the world's most comprehensive collection of guided movement, mechanics, and mobility instructional videos. Renowned physical therapist, strength & conditioning coach, and New York Times bestselling author Dr. Kelly Starrett and his expert staff will guide you through each routine. TRS Virtual Mobility Coach provides users guided mobilization videos customized for your body and lifestyle, including a personal “pain prescription” to fix your aches and stiffness, guided pre and post-exercise mobilizations tailored for your training and sports schedule, and mobilizations for your “off” days to maintain your range-of-motion and reduce your risk of injury. Here are some key points that I would advise you to concentrate on Pain is not a badge of honor, its not something that you need to live with, it can be fixed with some work on yourself. Prehab is a lot less costly, in terms of all areas, compared to surgery or life-long injury. Start adding in prehab components to your training now. A prehab routine does not need to be ethos, identity, or a long time, you can have fun, play and enjoy the time, and make it a small part of your life. Patterns learnt during training will show themselves when competing and at times of high importance, ensure the movements you are learning are the ones of a high quality and that you want to use when it matters most. "...pain is not the barometer pain is not the barrier, pain is not the marker pain is your body's request for change. It's trying to get your attention and I want you to start treating pain which is not a medical problem like wattage. Like poundage, like time I want you to start using pain as an objective measure. I have pain here. It doesn't mean I'm crippled. It doesn't mean I'm injured. It's my body telling me something is up I need you to pay attention." Listen to your pain, learn from it as a feedback tool and make the necessary changes and don't self-soothe with alcohol or drugs. Your body is a system and not just parts. If one part is not functioning correctly, then the system does not work as effectively as it could. You are unique and your analysis and health plan should be too. Your coach should be reading the return of data from your performance and working on a fix that helps you, not a cookie cutter, 1 fit all plan that he uses for everyone. "Ideally, you would spend 10 minutes a night taking care of your soft tissues. What's stiff get on the ground if you just sat on the ground watching Tv for the next hour. You'd be blown away at how much more mobile your hips would be because you'd long sit for a while you'd side sit you'd Kneel, You'd be Cross-legged and you would hit all of these positions spending a ton of time in shapes that you would then have to get to use later on. So ultimately again I want you to have some benchmarks some physical vital signs for helping you understand your movement and how well you're moving. And want you to have some behavioral vital signs to also say hey I didn't need enough protein today I can do better tomorrow right? I should walk more today I can do better tomorrow." Your body is like a word document, always changing in real time, and your programme needs to be adaptable to the changes, understanding the feedback and being able to change to suit your needs and skill level. "Don't be heroic, be consistent!" A good coach is worth far more to an athlete than an abundance of money. Strength and Olympic training can be vehicles that let you learn about yourself. Strength exercises can provide a tool that shows what is working, what isn't effective and how the issues can be resolved. "The most important thing you can do is play your sport right? That's that's the thing you need you don't play your sport enough. You can't play your sport enough. You need more time playing your sport period Comma We know that that is not the way to win a world championship. Ultimately, you're going to have to become stronger and you're not be able to do that in your sport." Your aim during training should be to become a better athlete, too many people are losing track of why you are training and instead focusing on the how and what. "There's no good exercises or bad exercises but there are certain positions and shapes that lend themselves to lot more transferability" - a good coach can help you select exercises that will allow you to get the most return for your effort in life and your sport depending on your specific goals and abilities. Better spatial awareness can be learnt. I find BJJ is fantastic to help you learn what your body parts are doing as separate entities and all together. It's easy to learn to know where an arm is, if it keeps getting arm barred if left out of your guard! "... oxygen really isn't the big master chemical. We thought it was it turns out CO2 is the master ... CO2 is the big driver of needing to breathe and one of the things we know is that your body's ability to tolerate higher CO2 levels means that you can actually take more oxygen off the hemoglobin. So if you haven't trained, you start to be really tolerant to that toxicity gnarly burn, then you feel ugly, getting that wheezy feeling. And if you haven't trained your brainstem to say that's okay, then you'll immediately stop your force production. You'll slow down you'll pant and breathe and catch up." Better breath control helps you perform better. Your legs are a limited resource, your lungs are unlimited, you just need to train them to work at in an effective manner.

Episode #172 Nick ‘Machine’ Lavery on how to use the special forces mindset for success regardless of your battlefield
Today’s guest is Nick 'Machine' Lavery! Chief Warrant Officer Two (CW2) Nick Lavery was born and raised in Massachusetts, and is an active-duty member of The United States Army Special Forces. Commonly known as the Green Berets, the Special Forces perform critical missions including direct action, counterinsurgency, foreign internal defense, special reconnaissance, and unconventional warfare. In 2013, while deployed to Afghanistan, he and his Detachment fell victim to an insider attack ultimately resulting in the loss of his leg. Following a year of surgeries and initial recovery including the use of a prosthetic at Walter Reed National Medical Military Center, he returned to his unit. Refusing a military medical retirement, Nick set his sights on returning to operational status. In 2015, at the conclusion of a challenging, comprehensive assessment designed to evaluate Nick’s abilities to operate, he returned to his Detachment and was subsequently deployed once again to Afghanistan conducting full spectrum combat operations. Nick is considered the first Special Forces operator to return to combat as an above-the-knee amputee. Nick is currently serving as a Special Forces Warrant Officer and is widely recognized as an experienced subject matter expert in special operations, intelligence fusion, mission planning and complex problem solving across all operational continuums. He is also the first amputee in military history to complete the Special Forces Warrant Officer Technical and Tactical Certification course, the Special Operations Combatives Program Instructor course, and the Special Forces Combat Diver Qualification course. Nick’s awards include the Silver Star, three Purple Hearts, two Bronze Stars, Bronze Star with “V” for valor, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, two Meritorious Service Medals, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medal, the OSS Society Peter Ortiz Award, the Bruce Price Leadership Award, and the Special Operations Command Excalibur Award. Nick is a warrior, leader, speaker, author and most importantly a husband and father of two young boys. #nicklavery #nickmachinelavery #special forces #military #mindset #objectivesecure #specialoperations #battlefield #officer #amputee #prosthetics #problemsolving #limbloss #injury #fatherhood #business #greenberets #warfare #army #author #writing #newbook Here are some key points that I would advise you to concentrate on Nick is a great example of someone who proves that your injury or disability does not define you or stop you from doing what you want to in life. Nick set missions in his service, parameters to follow and goals for what he needs to achieve in his missions, this lets him keep focused ... yet so few men have a mission in their own life. You need a mission to focus on, keep you motivated and able to measure your progress. How do you know where you are going if you don't have a end goal? When things get hard, how can you push yourself if you don't have a larger goal to achieve to overcome the temporary pain and discomfort challenging you? Operators like Nick are required to analyse problems and solve them in real time with minimum support. This is a skill that can be learnt. You will have problems like this in your work, personal life, hobby etc. By working on analyzing problems and trying to solve these in real time, and analyzing what went right and wrong after, lets you become someone who can become great at solving problems in real time. Find a system that works for you and build on it slowly. Stop trying to find the perfect system, instead find out what works best for you and grow and develop it as you progress. Eg going to the gym and doing any program is better than sitting on the couch thinking about doing it. Progressive overload - building the demands on yourself over time - is a concept you can use in your life as much as you would in the gym. Small incremental changes are what you need. We should look out and protect those that we care for. Nick stepped in front of bullets to protect someone, so you can protect a friend having a rough time, or a kid at school being bullied. Actions like these, help change the world for the better. Risks are what help us grow. However, we need to judge the risks we take, which will help us grow and which will damage us - by considering the risks, and looking at what happens from taking these risks, lets you learn about good and bad risks - you start to learn the types to go for and those to avoid, and this helps your risk assessment mechanism help you choose the risks you take faster and safer in real time. You need a mix of hard and soft skills to succeed in life. Hard skills can be things like breaking down doors, use of weapons etc. Soft skills can be building rapport with others, problem solving in real time etc. Too many people only know how to do a job, but cannot network, communicate and grow trust from others etc, and reliance on hard skills only can stop you truly growing to a level that you are capable of. There are training courses online that you can do for free etc, many jobs offer courses in team management, conflict resolution etc that you can do to build up your soft skills. Whether you are in the jungle, battlefield or office, these skills will help you level up! "No plan survives first contact" it is OK to have a plan but if you stick to it regardless, and not able to adapt, revise and change in real time to suit the needs of your people, resources, goals etc, you will not succeed. Use your skills to plan, assess, monitor and mange how you are going to do something and then readjust, revise and change as you need in real time as feedback is given. You need "a certain level of adaptability and flexibility built within us." In dangerous or high pressure situations, you fall back to the highest level of your training, you do not rise to the level that the situation requires. Therefore you need your training to be as technical and wide covering as possible, so when you go to that level, you can perform at your true best. Talent vs skill is an interesting concept - some people are born with the talent to do things but if you have an open growth mentality you can learn the skills that let you achieve your goals in life. "Failure is our greatest learning tool ... it is within the failure that the wisdom is located". Look at mistakes as a learning experience, nothing more. You only fail when you give up. Look at what went right and what went wrong, look at how to stop the bad things happening again, adopt the good thing into your training, approach to life etc, and grow as a person etc from the mistake. Do not let one small error lead to "a series of horrible decisions", instead note you made a mistake, stop detach for a minute, restart and get back to your life following your rules, and learn from what caused the mistake and grow as a person. One mistake is a learning experience, don't let one small mistake spiral into a bad day of poor decisions. It is OK to fail, to doubt yourself, to slip back etc. Nick struggled to return to training and service again. But he focused on his why and purpose in life, and looked towards his bigger goal in life, rather than the temporary pain and discomfort. He learn from it, got back and tried again, and you can do that too. You only really fail when you give up completely. Family and friends will try and keep you safe, they don't want you to get hurt, and sometimes that wish can try and keep you playing small and not going for your dream. This is why a big goal is needed, something that you truly want, so you can listen to what they say, recover the best way possible, return better but on your own terms and not live the life of someone else. To live a life with avoiding failure "you put a ceiling on what you can actually learn" and achieve in life. "What is your current status" is the most important you can ask yourself as a leader in any role, and as a leader in your life. Without knowing what you want and what challenges you are facing, you have no way to get to the next step. Without knowing what you want to achieve, what you want and how capable you are right now, you will go no where. Dedicate yourself to having an internal dialogue and being honest, and it will give you you a "full understanding and grasp of your current operational environment which is critical in moving from point A to point B".
