After that, its onto the homesteading where I lament about prying hands getting into seed trays and then whinge about whoever built my house and oriented it strictly based on the road, and not the suns patterns for optimal lighting and temperature control.

Jenni Harris came on to talk about regenerative agriculture and making that transition at White Oak Pasture. Jenni is a 5th generation farmer at White Oak Pastures, and witnessed the transition from industrialized cattle ranching to a more wholistic regenerative practice, that has seen massive growth both in output and variety. We discussed the reasoning behind the transition, and how they have added to and grown their farm to a nationally distributed product with zero waste left behind at the farm.

This week on Homesteads and Homeschools, the Liberty Hippie is joined by former homeschooler, currently in pursuit of a PhD, Kayla Fox. Kayla is from Texas and went did her undergrad work near home before venturing north to Montana for some of her PhD work. We discussed some of her experiences homeschooling, as well as her experiences making the transition from homeschool to college. After the interview with Kayla, the Liberty Hippie talks about some politicians in Kentucky trying to meddle in some homeschool affairs by hindering the ability of "truant" students to be removed from public school and enrolled in an homeschool program.
