Trey Oliver - Metro County Jail Warden and Artist - Leads with Compassion and Respect show art Trey Oliver - Metro County Jail Warden and Artist - Leads with Compassion and Respect

What's Working with Cam Marston

Trey Oliver leads Mobile's metro county jail with its over 1000 "guests." He oversees their meal service, offers classes, and even has a barber shop. It's its own self-contained world. Trey's story takes a non-traditional turn when he finds a release in this high-pressure environment through his art. Collecting and assembling driftwood then finding a gallery to display it took him on a ride he'd never have guessed for himself.

What's Working with Cam Marston

Our first chat with Brent Barkin was good enough that we needed more time with him AND we wanted to hear how he was responding to Covid amongst his 20ish stores across the southeast. We learn Brent gives each store a lot of autonomy on when to reopen and how to manage traffic flows on the floor. We also get his predictions on what the shakeout in the market place might be.

Josh Davison and Davison Fuels: The Downstream Oil Business show art Josh Davison and Davison Fuels: The Downstream Oil Business

What's Working with Cam Marston

Josh Davison knows the oil business. While Davison Fuels focuses on the last part of oil production - getting it to the consumer - the whole process influences his work and his product. Josh explains why oil prices are so low and why oil companies were paying people to take it from them for a short time ("it was like a Coke fizzing over the side of the glass - it had nowhere to go"). He gives explanations for gasoline prices rising fast and falling slow, and what he sees when he walks into a gas station.
