This has been a year like no other for most of us. As the ball dropped on New Year’s Eve the air was filled with optimism about the great year ahead. The economy was strong, the RV industry was opening up consumer shows with record attendance and RVers were already getting excited about the camping season. And then on March 13 the world was turned upside down.
Fast forward to May and RV sales go through the roof and half the new sales are being made to people who have never owned and RV and have never been in a campground. So what does this mean for our industry, our campgrounds and RV enthusiasts for the rest of the year?
