Introduction to Orientalisms

Orientalism is a type of figure of speech in which you need to know the customs and manners used in the lands and Times of the Bible. There are several books on the subject. These are very helpful when it comes to understanding the meanings of certain words or groups of words that are used in the Bible.

People have told me, at times, isn't the Bible an old fogey book with many old customs in mannerisms. Isn't it hard to understand at times? It is sometimes without knowing the customs and manners. There were used in the lands and Times of the Bible. These customs can be understood with some explanation. The first and most important thing to know is that the Bible is an Eastern book written to Eastern people over 2000 years ago. We can learn the truths that are made available in the Bible by recognizing these. I will try to point them out when I see them as I teach.

I'm sure you can appreciate that words of changed over time. Even words we use today have a different meaning than just ten years ago.
