Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In this episode, we talk about the board-breaking exercise to release limiting beliefs and take a moment to celebrate how far you’ve come. Board breaking is a metaphor, an empowering exercise to break through your perceived limitations in your life.  I have done this exercise a few times and it looks easy, but it is not.  I wanted to share an experience of breaking a board I had in my NLP Master Practitioner over 18 months ago and how it shifted me to release those limiting beliefs.  This is a reminder to look back at how far you’ve come.  In this episode, we...

In this episode, we discuss:  1) Judgments and decisions saturate people's lives. Most people scroll past 1000 posts a day which means you have wired your brain for judgment comparison and contempt 1000 times over on a minimum per day. In this episode, we talk about how important it is to speak your vision to life, focusing on what do you see, what do you hear, what do you feel, and then detaching from how it happens and comes to life. The how is not up to you.  I share a personal example of how I blew past my Q1 goals for 2024, even after I almost felt like quitting. In this episode, we discuss:  1)  Speak life into where you are going as opposed to where you have been. Feed your energy into your future and what you are creating, and set your goals with who you will be or who you are becoming in the end not...

Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In this episode, we talk about how belief will take you further than talent.  Even more, than this, it requires that you have belief to get started. It is our job to raise our beliefs to match our vision, not just the belief but also the identity of the person who can bring that vision to life. I heard this Henry Ford example, he could have said I can’t build cars because if they break down, we have no mechanic shops to fix them, no idea where we will make the tires or the parts to fix them, he could have said: “there’s no point in starting.”  There has to come a moment where...

#164: Our Stories Don’t Always Have to Feel Bad with Sue Ruhe

Today we are speaking with RMT (Myofascial Release Therapy), Sue Ruhe.
Sue is a Registered Massage Therapist of 11 years, focusing primarily on Myofascial Release Therapy (where oils and lotions are not used during treatment). Working with abdominal fascia is her Jam! It's amazing how much anxiety, trauma, and stress we hold in that area, which ultimately progresses into pain throughout our entire bodies. She believes that finding and addressing the root cause of pain, is the key to preventing future health issues and avoiding unnecessary medications. She is a wife and a mother of a brilliant 8-year-old girl, Avalina, who has faced her own health issues this year. Because of this, along with renovating an entire house, Sue has taken a break from the clinic she's worked at for over a decade, to focus on other projects and to become more of a freelance therapist. She has created the Love Your Cells Podcast, is currently writing in 2 co-author book projects, and in the beginning stages of her own publication. Sue wants to teach the world about Fascia by bringing more of an understanding to the masses.

In this episode, we discuss:

  1. The opportunities that we are living in today are actually a possibility because of the choices that we made years ago. Years of personal development and growth will help all of us to continue to prepare for what the future has in store.
  2. It doesn’t have to be weird to connect with others. If you see something that you do like in how someone is showing up online, or a sharing of interests or inspiration can grow beautiful friendships. It may be people that you least expect who become your closest friends.
  3. Personal development has taught Sue how to Stand in her power and let that sh*t go.
  4. 2020 has taught Sue that she could pivot her business to help her clients heal their bodies virtually. The lesson was to pivot, trust yourself, and keep moving forward.
  5. It’s ok to love your story. That has been a massive lesson for 2020.
  6. The mental health support we require comes from a connection to others, all the more reasons to allow ourselves to connect to
