They realized that if they wanted to create an exceptional life with choices and autonomy, they had to go out of bounds on the mainstream “go to school and get a good job” adage. Since they were not hardcore enough to quit their jobs and attempt to gut out a startup, they instead jumped into the world of moderate entrepreneurship

Maximize your Next Facebook Party

“It’s just meeting people where they are at and helping them find how this could be the one thing that’s going to turn their life around and make it just that much better.”

Sarah Bryntenson

Today episode 113 is one for the books! We’ll be talking with two amazing women, Karen Pepe and Sarah Bryntenson, who will share tips and tricks on how we can revolutionize the way we do Facebook parties.

Karen started in direct sales network marketing 30 years ago and went to an in-home party (Facebook wasn’t around back then) and decided to join and build her own team. About a year after starting she quit her other job because it was better for her and her family. Now with social media, she does exclusively Facebook parties. Sarah has been in direct sales for 10 years and was a seventh-grade remedial reading teacher when she joined. After three years she decided to leave teaching and go into sales full time. At that time she was promoted to director and that’s when she met Karen.

“Some people use events and some people use groups, it’s about half and half and there are pros and cons...you kind of find your own way.” - Karen Pepe.

There are two schools of thought--the events and the groups. The big difference is there is no three third-party scheduler that Facebook allows in to be able to schedule for events. So if the host is a very busy person and doesn’t want to set a time on their phone or doesn’t have a dedicated time that they are on social media to work with their parties, then a group would be a better fit just because there’s a scheduler within Facebook. There are also third-party apps out there that can be used to help plan ahead.

If it was an in-person event or zoom event, you would want to have interaction. Viewing the host to be a partner is important because ultimately you know what the product is, but the host knows what she and her friends need. Knowing the background of the guests helps to know what kind of posts you need. No matter how you do it, an event or a group, it is about the relationship and referral base that you build so you become that person for that person.

Using a Google form to collect information is a way to build your Facebook group. You can use the Google form as a shopper order form as well. Also by taking out all of the shopping information, it can be used as a drawing slip - would they like to host, would they like to join, if not now, maybe later kind of thing. This is also a great way to build your Facebook group.

The top tips to having a successful Facebook party are, of course, first make your hostess your partner.  It’s the interaction working with your host through videos and lives because then they are getting part of you. Commenting underneath comments, tagging people, and asking questions so they have a reason to respond during the live is always good.

Also, make it personal. The quicker you connect with an individual, the more likely that relationship will last. And the very key, last but not least, is not having this be the last time you see this person, helping them to see that you’re worthy of becoming part of their Facebook community outside of this.

“Just having fun and bringing your personality, no matter what style you do, is so key because ultimately people buy from you because they like you.” - Sarah Bryntenson.

If you would like to reach out and find out more about Karen and Sarah and learn more helpful tips on how to have a successful Facebook party you can find them on Facebook.
