“We want to work smarter not harder” is the discussion today with Julie Reynolds. Julie is a mother of two little girls and has a background in education. She has been a teacher/school counselor/therapist for 15 years. She got into network marketing about seven years ago and has built a successful business that has evolved online.

She needed to think outside the box and find a way to attract more people without being spammy. She started the whole branding process with a lot of self-reflecting and came out with “who am I?” As a counselor, she loves helping women and children with their confidence so they can be successful. She created some courses around how to have the confidence to go visit, do videos, and rock your business.

Video is what people need in order to be successful, however, people struggle with putting themselves out there and being in the spotlight. They can’t stop doing the spammy thing because that is easy and safe.

Most people are trying to take their Facebook lives and upload them to YouTube. It doesn’t work that way.  You are not going to get the views or the engagement you want on YouTube because the way you structure YouTube video is different than the way that you structure a Facebook live.  

There is a difference between YouTube and Facebook. What people don’t realize is YouTube is not a social media site, it is actually a search engine. It’s the second-largest search engine in the world.

Most people build only on social media. If you look at the top online marketers, or top network marketers, you are going to see that they’re not just building on social, they’re building on an SEO platform, (a search engine optimized platform) like Google, YouTube or Pinterest.

You’re going to take one of those platforms and marry it with your social media platform of choice. That means taking the YouTube videos and cross-pollinating them across all of your social media platforms. Share your YouTube videos on your Facebook and Instagram.

People need to hear your message and whether your message is the same as somebody else’s, you’re going to tell it differently and impact somebody in a different way.
