TextMyGov is the latest communication tool the City of Tehachapi has added to make it easier for the public to talk to city hall. TextMyGov allows the public to report a non-emergent problem, concern or question to Tehachapi City Hall utilizing keywords via text message. Text Hi to (661) 441-3844 to opt-in and you will receive a greeting, then enter a keyword like pothole, you will then receive the pothole reporting form sent to you via text message. You don't have to go to the website, locate the request tracker or call city hall and go through an automated phone system unless you want to.

Nancy Francom from Text My Gov joins TehachaPod to explain how easy it is to use.

TextMyGov also allows the City of Tehachapi to send out notifications regarding special events, road closures and other non-emergent information simply by texting Tehachapi to 91896.
