She has known both heart wrenching tragedy and deep joy. This is her inspiring story. Note: In 2024 she was awarded the order of the Founder. The highest honour available to a Salvo anywhere in the world.

If we let injustice slide by unchecked because if doesn't affect us - we set ourselves up to encounter the same injustice when we are in need ourselves. How we treat the most vulnerable in our society sets the standard for us all and often it is a small step that gets things going.
