The Embodiment Coaching Podcast
In this episode, I speak with Helen about the meaning crisis, purpose, and what coaching can offer in a culture increasingly shaped by distraction, individualism, and disconnection. We explore the difference between happiness and meaning, why purpose cannot be reduced to personal achievement, and how embodiment helps us access a deeper sense of direction, contribution, and belonging. We discuss Aristotle's ideas on purpose, the role of service and community in a meaningful life, and why coaches need to move beyond goal-setting to engage with questions of significance, values, and vocation....

In this episode, I speak with Lucija Glagolic Hora about coaching, shadow work, archetypes, and the role of hardship in human development. We explore how suffering, trauma, and uncertainty can deepen our humanity, why coaches need to engage with darkness as well as growth, and how real transformation often emerges through humility, vulnerability, and connection rather than positivity alone. We discuss the cultural lessons of the Balkans, including the relationship between hardship, humor, community, and resilience. Along the way, we examine shadow work, toxic positivity, archetypes as...

In this episode, I speak with Margaret Moore about coaching, consciousness, leadership, and the impact of AI on human development. We explore what makes a great coach, why real coaching goes beyond techniques and frameworks, and how presence, curiosity, and the ability to disrupt habitual patterns lie at the heart of transformation. We discuss the tension between artificial intelligence and human consciousness, including what AI can and cannot replicate, how technology shapes attention and thinking, and whether AI will deepen or diminish our humanity. Along the way, we examine...

In this episode, I speak with Dr. Helen Machen-Pearce about meaning coaching, modern nihilism, and why so many people today feel lost despite unprecedented comfort and freedom. We explore the collapse of traditional sources of meaning — including religion, community, family, and vocation — and how modern culture often replaces them with “idols” such as status, money, pleasure, productivity, and online validation. We discuss practical approaches to helping people reconnect with purpose through embodiment, values work, narrative coaching, death awareness, belonging, and service. Along...

In this episode, I speak with former Buddhist monk and mindfulness teacher Sean Fargo about the changing role of mindfulness in coaching, therapy, and modern culture. We explore why mindfulness went from being widely celebrated to increasingly questioned, and how trauma-awareness, attention fragmentation, and modern lifestyles have changed the way people relate to contemplative practice. We discuss the tension between classical Buddhist teachings and contemporary therapeutic culture, particularly around emotional expression, boundaries, discomfort, and the growing expectation that spiritual...

In this episode, I sit down with clinical psychologist Andrew Hartz to explore emotional dysregulation, attention, and embodiment in the context of modern life and culture. We look at why so many people feel overwhelmed, reactive, or disconnected from themselves in increasingly fast and fragmented environments. Andrew suggests that what often appears as ideological or cultural conflict can be better understood through the lens of emotional regulation—specifically the difficulty of tolerating complexity, ambiguity, and discomfort. From an embodiment perspective, we explore how these patterns...

In this episode, I sit down with Martin Bos to explore the role of embodiment in building real-world confidence, boundaries, and resilience. We discuss how a felt sense of safety begins in the body, and why many people struggle to assert themselves—not from a lack of knowledge, but from a lack of embodied capacity. Martin shares his journey from martial arts into coaching, and how his work integrates physical training with emotional awareness and nervous system regulation. We explore how posture, presence, and perception shape how we respond under pressure, and why awareness is often more...

In this episode, I sit down with Chandler Stevens to explore the limits of coaching and psychology, and why deeper transformation may require something more. We discuss embodiment, attachment, and the growing pull toward spirituality among coaches and practitioners. Chandler shares insights on how connection—to self, others, and the transcendent—shapes wellbeing, and why meaning, beauty, and purpose can’t be reduced to technique alone. We also explore practical ways to integrate faith-informed perspectives into coaching without dogma. This is a grounded conversation about expanding...

In this episode, I sit down with Virginia to explore the idea of theoregulation and why coaching and psychology alone may not be enough to support real human wellbeing. We unpack the four types of regulation—self, co, eco, and theo—and look at how modern life has left many people disconnected from community, nature, and a deeper sense of meaning. We discuss how faith, tradition, and shared values can provide structure, resilience, and a way to relate to suffering that goes beyond quick fixes. Along the way, we explore topics like attachment, purpose, beauty, and the role of ritual in human...

In this episode, I sit down with Daniel from Historia Ecclesiastica to explore why modern psychology and coaching often fail to address what truly matters in human life. We dive into the ways postmodern thinking and our obsession with pleasure and quick fixes have left people anxious, distracted, and disconnected from meaning. We discuss the difference between vice and virtue, and how our attachments can act like bandages over the wounds of life. Along the way, we talk about beauty, truth, and the role of tradition in helping us orient toward what is truly good. This is a grounded conversation...
info_outlineWhat if the key to personal growth wasn’t radical transformation—but tiny, consistent experiments?
In this full-spectrum conversation, neuroscientist and Ness Labs founder Anne-Laure Le Cunff joins me to explore how to rewire our brains for curiosity, resilience, and sustainable growth. We talk about how our brains are hardwired for safety (and why that gets in the way of change), why embracing uncertainty is a learnable skill, and how to overcome the “insight trap” - where we understand a concept but still fail to apply it.
Anne-Laure shares tools from her book Tiny Experiments, including how to approach daily life more scientifically, balance structure with flexibility, and develop an identity rooted in exploration - not perfection. We also touch on creativity, burnout, goal-setting, and the neuroscience behind procrastination and decision-making.
