Release Date: 01/01/2019
This week Justin talks to Lauren Kelley, the director of the Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art and Storytelling. Justin had the pleasure of working with Lauren and her crew this past fall in New York on a big mural installation that they talk about in this conversation. They also get into Lauren’s path to becoming the director of a museum, how she started her career as a curator and get into the love and respect she has for artists.
You can follow Lauren on Instagram @laurendkelley. Follow the Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art and Storytelling @sugarhillmuseum on Instagram and visit their website SugarhillMuseum.org to stay up to date on their exhibitions! As mentioned, Justin's installation “Recuérdame” will be up through September of 2019 and Faith Ringgold and Yuken Teruya’s exhibitions will be on view through March 31st! So if you are in NYC go and check out the museum soon!
