In the first of two episodes covering the 1981 Doctor Who spin-off K-9 & Company, Leigh and Glenn sit down to have a bit of a natter about it, and see if it's aged like a fine wine, or if it's a bit of a tin dog egg? Next time, WhoTuber Adam Martyn does the same, but from the perspective of someone who didn't see it at the time... Phil joins us for the first time in a little while, to talk about all of the TV programmes announced at the Disney investor's meeting late last year - basically the wishlist of every 80's kid, and all of the Star Wars and Marvel content we could have ever wanted! Join Dave, Amy and Glenn as they go through their favourite DC Event comics, and see if there's any "crossovers" between them! NOTE: this episode was recorded before Christmas, so apologies for all the excitable Yuletide talk. Justice For All on Twitter: @JFAPOD Justice For All on Facebook: facebook.com/jfapod

Brad from the TFYTC is back with us again, as we take another trip into the Star Wars Universe, this time with particular focus on the excellent Disney+ series, The Mandalorian! This WAS recorded before the finale though, so at least this time around you'll be spared the sound of two grown men crying over the fate of a Muppet. Next time though... Marvel UK's Transformers first Christmas was not a very Christmassy affair, as they seemed to have a lot of US Transformers material to get through - you'd think that maybe they could have sacrificed the Machine Man comics, though. Oh well. Join Andy from the Smorgaspod and myself as we go through the UK's premier transforming robots comic of the 80s! Our last episode of 2020 concerns one of the Christmas specials that seems to get short shrift, and we don't really know why here at the Nerva Beacon - all the way back from 2016 it's The Return of Doctor Mysterio! Steven Moffat's take on superheroes, this was where we learned that Nardole was now the Doctor's companion, AND that the Doctor himself was partly responsible for the creation of the world's premier superhero, the Ghost! Thanks as always for listening, and have a safe and Happy New Year if you can, right? Nerva Beacon on Facebook: facebook.com/NervaBeaconPodcast Nerva Beacon on...

It's the odd period of time between Christmas and New Year, so what better time to spend it listening about Christmases past, especially 1988, with John the Bordersdude! As he's from Scotland, why don't we throw in a bit of Hogmanay whilst we're at it? Have a very happy and safe New Year gang, and here's hoping 2021 is a way better year than 2020. The bar is astonishingly low. Back to the Eighties @ Twitter: @BTTEPOD Back to the 80's on Facebook: facebook.com/bttepod

Merry Christmas, 80's Gang! Things are a little different this year, but let us try and bring a bit of cheer and tinsel to proceedings! Joining us is Wil Hodgson, to take on a nostalgic ramble through Christmasses gone by, and we also take a look at what was on the telly Christmas night of 1985! Again, Merry Christmas to you all, have a safe one, and thank you for all of your support this year! Back to the Eighties @ Twitter: @BTTEPOD Back to the 80's on Facebook: facebook.com/bttepod

This week we're joined by YouTube creator, actor, podcaster and all round good guy Adam Martyn to talk about his love of idents and presentation, especially around Christmastime! And to ensure that he has a totally unbiased view of the Eighties, he did us the favour of being born 20 years after they finished! We also take a look at the TV listings from 1987, so please join us, and get excited for Christmasses past! Back to the Eighties @ Twitter: @BTTEPOD Back to the 80's on Facebook: facebook.com/bttepod
info_outlineGhostbusters Day was a couple of weeks ago, and in honour of that John "Bordersdude" Grieve and I sat down and had a bit of a natter about Ghostbusters and all it's spin offs, including the cartoons, the toys, the 2016 version, the 2021 movie, and a whole slew of other things all related to the busting of ghosts.
Please join us as we ask - Who Ya Gonna Call?
