A correction to last week, Andrew said Canadians were in Afghanistan training Iraqis, that clearly makes no sense, the article in the Ottawa Citizen said Iraq and Iraqis and I said Afghanistan in error. 

Second correction, my mistake, I mistakenly called Hezbollah, Suni when they are in fact Shia.

I was having a good time with all the memes about that douche that went on to a well deserved dirt nap until you approached the subject last night.  You made me realize a lot of our values and morals were seriously bent doing this. I did some more reading and research away from the two extremes and it supports your stance. I am the first guy to enjoy seeing these bastards die, but this broke laws and is a huge strategic risk.  To the point I would have to ask why was it done ? Possibilities;

 

 1) Simple wag the dog move.  Trump thinks it will play well with his base for the election.  The evidence against this is that he did not react to the oil tanker nonsense, the shooting down of the drone and other fuckery the Mullahs are up to.  

 

2) Trump is doing it take the focus away from the impeachment.  I think this is a reach as it is putting more heat on his opposition than him.

 

3) The neocons got his ear and he has decided to continue the PNAC doctrine and finish off North Korea and Iran.  They are the only two left standing. If so very bad news as this means at best another decade of war or a real short world war if you know what I mean.  Also it shows that not much has changed. Time will tell.

 

4) He got played by the neocons and over-reacted about the embassy and made a tactical error with the best of intentions.  If so poor judgement.

 

5) Israel did it and it was decided that the US took the credit in order to avert a direct and immediate Middle East war.  Israel has had to deal with that asshole for some time and have everything to gain from this. If it was found that they did it they would be attacked on all sides.

 

6) This one is the scariest.  One theory being proposed is what if Trump didn’t order it?

If true or revealed it would show a rogue deep state that would risk world war.  And Trump can’t be public about it or he looks inept and weak.  

 

Anyways my two cents and we certainly live in interesting times.

Subject: Last Week’s Episode

I can't tell you how disappointed I am and I'm only halfway through last week's episode. I expect to hear this on the CBC but I never expected to hear this from you. Calling President Trump an a******? Whining about them killing a terrorist that is organized militias in five different countries to kill either Americans or other Muslims. The same guy that organized militias in Iraq taught them to make IEDs that resulted in the killing of over six hundred Americans.  In just the week prior they killed an American and organized an attack on the US embassy. They finally get this guy out in the open with nobody around, in Iraq mind you, and pull the trigger to take him out and you guys whine because you're so afraid there might be retaliation from the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world. How many punches do you take in the face before you punch back? Maybe you think the Obama doctrine was working. Maybe send them more pallets of cash?   Or maybe the US should have retaliated by hitting a couple of refineries and killing the guys that are sweeping the floor on night shift.  

 

And now that there isn't going to be a war, and the strategy worked, are you guys going to talk on your show this week about how wrong you were?  I'm only so disappointed because I like you guys so much. I never expected you to side with the shrill left and start talking about how assassinations are just wrong. A strong deterrence is a way to stay out of war not a way to start wars and it worked this time.

Still listening to last week's episode. You actually sound like an Iranian sympathizer. I quote, "Iran is rightfully pissed?! I quote they throw gays off of buildings maybe that's right or wrong but at least there is serious country?! Did you get dropped on your head? hopefully this was just a bad night, because honestly this shity conversation is going to be on the internet forever. BTW- hizbollah is Shia.

 

Without the US we'd all be speaking either Russian or German. Actually most likely Russian. They are our best friends and they would do anything for us. I'm so sick of listening to people bash the United States. Once again grip yourself, you're wrong. I don't know where you come from but where I come from we support our friends. you all sound like a bunch of scared school girls.

 

PS now you're talking about how you're supporting the NDP. Dude, the wheels fell off the wagon.
