Psychopaths walk in our midst, predatory creatures who don’t have the full range of human emotions, only really knowing how to see others as prey. According to a popular statistic, 1% of the general population are psychopaths. Most of them aren’t serial killers as portrayed in the media, but they are more toxic people who look to drain you of your time, energy and money.

In the book “The Psychopath Code” by Pieter Hintjens, he explains what happens when you deal with psychopaths, how they think, and how to defend yourself against them. Hintjens has no psychological training, and instead relies on his experience and intellect to notice the patterns and devise strategies. Does he know what he’s talking about?

In this episode, we discuss these points:
Do psychopaths even exist?
Are they as Hintjens describes them?
Can a person be half a psychopath?
Is there a link between masculinity and psychopathy?
What are our personal experiences?
Can psychopaths be good people?
What’s the deal with OJ Simpson?
What happened in the libertarian community in Acapulco?
What do we gain or lose looking at the world through this lens?

Note: OJ Simpson was found not guilty of murder in a criminal trial, but liable for wrongful death in a civil suit.
