Release Date: 01/24/2019
Neel Shah has spent over a decade in Indian sport, holding a series of positions across a spectrum of Indian sports organizations. A sports management graduate himself, Shah started his career with Major League Soccer as Director of Fan Development, moved to India with Dentsu, was Business Director with Libero Sports, and ran a football team and academy as the CEO of DSK Shivajians and the Liverpool International Football Academy. Today he is Head of Sports Education and New Business at India on Track.
In today’s episode, Shah discusses the key elements to building a sustainable sports ecosystem, why a sports management “degree” isn’t what aspiring sports professionals should chase, and why it is important that we invest in training and building a sports workforce that will secure the future of Indian sport.
