CEO Interview - Jonathan Weinberg, Founder AutoSlash

The Not Old Better Show, Interview Series

Welcome to The Not Old Better Show, I’m Paul Vogelzang, and this is episode #364. Today’s show is brought to you by AutoSlash.

As part of our Business Buildout Interview series, today’s guest is the CEO of AutoSlash, Jonathan Weinberg. Jonathan Weinberg, AutoSlash’s 42-year-old co-founder. Jonathan Weinberg got his start in technology when his father who worked in technology for United Airlines took young Jonathan to the Kennedy Airport in New York to lay cable under the international arrivals building.
Jonathan Weinberg’s career also includes a management role at Radio Shacks and a near-death experience directly below the airplane impact zone in the South Tower of the World Trade Center, I’ll put up a link to Jonathan’s account of his very real 9/11 experience, which is eerie because I was in Philadelphia, on that day and remember well the pandemonium. Back to Jonathan Weinberg, the idea to start AutoSlash came from his mother in Florida, who thought there was a business in all of the auto rental rate sleuthing he did before visiting her.

Today, AutoSlash is a website dedicated to saving people money on car rentals, but they now offer hotel services, too. AutoSlash is the only site that applies the best coupons/discounts from AAA, AARP, and many others, and then tracks rental price changes right up until the pickup date, and re-books users to capture these savings automatically—ALL FOR FREE!

I had the chance to ask one of the utmost experts, AutoSlash CEO Jonathan Weinberg, some questions about car rentals and the car rental industry. You guys know that I am far from an expert on this subject so I was very excited that he was willing to help out.

Please join me in welcoming to The Not Old Better Show, AutoSlash CEO, Jonathan Weinberg.
