Hey, y'all -   Part two of two for Dudelander Outlander s7a. We learn many things in this episode, but it would feel like spoilers to mention them here. Suffice it to say, our Dudes (surprisingly!) have very strong feelings about interior design.   Lots of love - Allison and Julie (and Kevin and Neal)

Oh lord -   Here's Kevin and Neal again, talking about their reactions to Outlander season 7a. They remember some stuff! It's been awhiiiiile....but the laughs are eternal. Part one of two and kind of an abrupt ending to this one. In the style of Dudelander, we're doing the best we can.   Lots of love - Allison and Julie (and Kevin and Neal)

Podlander Drunkcast

Hi, y'all - Janine was in town so we got him in front of a miiicro-phooone to catch up on what he's up to, and  also to shoot the shit about Outlander season 7a. He still watches! We had a good time getting the band back together.  It would be remiss of me not to quote Amelia "Ham On The Loose" Buzzell re: her amazing photoshop skills - "You've heard of Elf on the Shelf, but are you familiar with JANINE IN THE SCREEN?" Enjoy! Lots of love - Allison, Julie, and Janine

Podlander Drunkcast

Hi, y'all -   Allison and Julie chat AT LENGTH about Outlander season 7 episode 8 "Turning Points." We really, really loved this episode. It has everything - Claire being a bad bitch, Jamie feeling things, Weeian and Rachael being hot, and sooooo much hot pess. This season has been excellent so far, and if they keep it up, we think the second half will be just as good!   We'll have plenty of other stuff to say about the first half of season 7 so stay tuned! We'll get through this Withoutlander the best way we know how...together.   Lots of love - Allison and Julie ...

Podlander Drunkcast

Hi, y'all - Julie is out this week, but never fear. Allison and Amelia have thoughts and jokes a-plenty about Outlander , season 7 episode 7, "A Practical Guide for Time-Travelers." One thing we can all agree on is that we love Diarmaid Murtagh as Buck MacKenzie, and we would join his Tufty Club any day. Another thing....Roger Mac can fucking ROCK a kilt. **Content Warning - suicide, self-harm. Skip 33:55 - 34:05 to avoid.** Hi, y'all - Who the hell is that guy?? We all felt that, right? It wasn't just us....right? Whiffed "Nuckelavee" reveal aside, there's a lot of good stuff to talk about in this episode. Claire being a boss bitch! Willie being the worst spy! Jamie finally accepting the mantle of Terminator! HAND FLEX!! We promise we don't really think they are throwing shit in there just for us, but the waulking wool lady felt a little on the nose. Confidential to Toby Bakare (Walter Woodcock) - thank you for being excellent at your job!...

More Episodes

Hey y'all,

Woof, here we go. Early in the episode, you'll hear Allison talk about a safe jump-ahead point for anyone who might want to avoid our discussion of the sexual violence in "Never My Love." You can listen safely until the five-minute mark and then skip ahead if you want to avoid all prolonged discussion of the first half of the episode. If you jump to 33:50, you'll hit the section where we talk about the dissociative episodes (the "Never My Love" stuff); if you jump to 49:52, you'll skip to the battle in the woods and Claire's recovery. Any mentions past that point are fleeting, though we do discuss her recovery at length. You should also stop reading these show-notes now, we love you, you look super nice today, love that top, your hair is so shiny, you're doing great, we'll see you next week.

For the rest of you: There's a lengthy discussion in this episode about the show's history of sexual violence, and we wanted to mention that our list is depressingly and distressingly incomplete. The fact that it's difficult to remember every instance of sexual violence in this show is, frankly, bonkers. But we forgot Fergus in season two. We forgot Weeian in season three. We forgot Jamie in season three (biting or no biting, Geneva Dunsaney extorts sex from Jamie, so that's another one.) And sadly, we're pretty sure there are others. That's messed up. Our feelings about that are really complicated, so just know that if yours are too, you're not alone—and whether or not these stories are well-handled is a separate issue from when, why, and how often they're addressed. Anyway, however you feel about it, your feelings are valid.

Anyway, your hair is also shiny and your shirt is also super cute and you are wonderful just in general, we love you, and we'll be back next week for some season-overview chat. And here's the Brian Dennehy song we referenced: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqrtoFWglMY&feature=youtu.be.

Lots of love,
Allison, Julie, and Janine
