My episode this week is a conversation with Davida Ginter, who I met on a LinkedIn Group about personal development. We recorded the podcast early mornings after my exercise routine and before I was heading to work. She is based in Israel, lived in Sweden and has a keen interest to support others in preventing burnout. Her mantra is based on Jane Goodall: Everyday we make a difference and it is up to us, what kind of difference we want to make.

One of her take aways she posted shortly after on LinkedIn, was that ‘even if it will take much longer for organisations to make the transition towards a holistic system that nurtures their people's wellbeing, that doesn't mean that the few, who already know that, can't start today.'

Our conversation is all about life life balance, and how leadership, professional change makers and personal journeys need to focus on the well being of people in a holistic way. The price we pay for not looking after people and ourselves, is burnout, a topic Davida is passionate about and is publishing a book on this too.

In order to avoid burnout, one valuable way it to increase connection to real people, in person. We discuss being in the presence, and being fully in the now, while carefully managing the influence of social media.

Her idea of success is to be the best version of herself, having a positive impact on others, helping others. Also, as of above, her best advice is to connect to real people, and treat others the way you want to be treated. It is about developing a changing mindset to be open about failure. Another advice is to take long walks, or empathy walks, or to exercise, in order to reduce stress and take care of oneself, she calls it the empathy walk.

We also speak about her event  Enkindle which takes place in Sweden from 19th-21st May.
