Interviewing Dr. Heidger Marx from SAP was just awesome and eye opening! He is a mindfulness trainer at SAP.

I first came across his profile, when Daniel Rieber interviewed him on his German podcast Im Hier und Jetzt, and I just had to speak to him. Actually, we didn’t start speaking about success for the first half of the podcast, but more about the ‘fluffy stuff’ which is meditation in a German Software Company.

Heidger is a scientist, photographer become mindfulness trainer, and the conversation was absolutely eye opening. The benefits mindfulness practise brings to oneself and organisations is immense. One of his mentees said ‘This is the first time I understood that I work with humans’ - now if that isn’t a statement for a modern organisations? But what does mindfulness in organisations look like?

For Heidger, success is all about aligning one’s values with what one is doing, e.g. loving what you do. His daily practises, of course, include meditation but also journaling.

If anyone wants to find out more about him, or connect to him to find out about the SAP training which is offered to external companies as well, please connect with Heidger on Linkedin.

This podcast is hosted by Volker Ballueder (Ballueder Partners) who also wrote a book on productivity and life improvement #BeBetter.
