On episode 8, we talk with Kelly and Heidi, creative collaborators, storytellers and founders of Two Create, a resource for creatives that explores how collaboration impacts creative work. On episode 7, we talk with Michael Richman, owner, creative director and knitter at the Knitty Gritty NYC. Michael came to knitting and entrepreneurship after a career as a dancer and choreographer. He shares his experiences as an artist and business owner and gives us some tips on how to listen to the warning signs of stress and run towards joy in our work.

This week on Episode 6 of “So, What Are You Working On?” we talk with Allegra Oxborough and Grant Cutler. Allegra is a director, and the founder and owner of AERO, a woman-owned production company. Grant is a composer and artist. Together, they’ve worked on dozens of visionary projects. Collaboration? Filmmaking? Feminism? Money? The future? Yeah, we talk about it.

On episode 5 we feature Nishat Akhtar. Nishat is a badass designer, an inspired teacher, a sports enthusiast and a self-professed “sugar daddy” of her own creative career. We cover some amazing topics this week including time, money, gender, humor, and the fallacy of “following your dreams”.

On episode 3, we talk with Hallie Bateman, Illustwriter (illustrator and writer) extraordinaire, fearless drawer and drinker of smoothies. She tells us about what motivated her to become a freelancer, shares her take on collaboration, and gives us an assignment that loosens rusty drawing skills and improves our awareness of the world around us.
