As we head into the July 4th holiday weekend, Episode 120 of the Tailgate Guys BBQ Show Podcast talks competition BBQ with a pair of pitmasters who are having outstanding seasons.

First up is Phillip Breeden of LC BBQ out of Bandera, Texas. The 2020 IBCA Team of the Year in his home state, Phil decided to take LB BBQ full-steam into the KCBS circuit in 2021 and the results have been outstanding. Learn more about his story - and grueling travel schedule - in our first guest segment.

We also go “Under the Radar” with Tommy Self of Perfectly Blended BBQ out of Crimson Tide Country - Vance, Alabama. Tommy has been getting regular walks despite only cooking BBQ for a short period of time. He’s having a solid rookie season in the KCBS Masters division after stepping up from Backyard.
