The Audacious Life - Break Free
Emma Ferrick embodies all things this podcast stands for. She's a young mother who survived a dangerous domestic violence relationship and found the support and internal strength to reach for a better life when many in her condition would be paralyzed by fear. Her reality was a catalyst for extreme growth and pursuit of career goals that liberated her from her day job, allowing her to be with her daughter while growing her business.

With all that's swirling in the world around us, it's easy to wonder how people can get away with evil and horrible things and come out seemingly smelling like a rose. Or at the least retaining their position, their wealth, etc. with seemingly little impact.

Man, we've been through a ton these last few months. I know it's been intense, hard to predict what's next, and challenging to stay positive even for those who are generally pretty upbeat.
The quarantine, work from home, homeschooling, mask-wearing, and social distancing, along with the racism we're working through as a nation has impacted me for sure.
So I'm sharing what's been going on in my world and what I plan to do with the podcast and other aspects of my life as a result of the impact of COVID and all that's come along with it.
And I'm checking in to see how you're doing too. I'd love to hear from you!
As I mentioned in this episode, I'll be using my YouTube channel's community tab to check in more regularly via short stories, posts, curating videos related to healing and dealing, all things related to personal growth, mindset, and starting and growing your personal brand and business online.

Black Lives Matter and George Floyd was a human treated like an animal.
The site identifies what 8 things that can be done to help your city's police department to be safe and decrease violence by 72%.
If this resonates and you're interested in making a difference with racism and unnecessary police brutality check out https://8cantwait.org/
I intentionally avoid local news coverage and do my best to have a lighter diet of news each day. Sothis NY Times mini-documentary, 8 Minutes and 47 Seconds is about what happened to George Floyd. It's well-produced and gave me a much better sense of exactly what happened and why the 8 Can't Wait site is so important.
Will it end racism? No.
But it will make a tangible difference in the lives of all citizens but especially the most vulnerable, people of color. Please watch.
