More Episodes
Welcome back to The Business of Healthcare Podcast.  This week I have the pleasure of speaking with Dr Clare Sieber who is a GP and Mediator. Clare only mediates disputes in healthcare settings, with a focus on those in primary care such as GP partnership, PCN, GP practice workplace disputes, and disputes between a patient's family and the clinical team.

There is a lot to take away from this episode and especially how mediation can work really well early on in a situation rather than leaving it too late in the process. Mediation is entirely voluntary and all parties have to agree for it to take place. It can be carried out virtually or face to face.

“For a Team to be functional it needs to have trust and inclusion right at its core, make sure the team meets regularly, know values and passions, then you are less likely to get into that bitter situation with them.” Dr Clare Sieber
