Wholistic Hearts- A Journey from the Head to the Heart, Encounters with Jesus

Psalm 1 Encounter Grab a journal, a comfy spot, and allow yourself to meditate on Psalm 1. Psalms 1:1-3 TPT What delight comes to the one who follows God’s ways! His passion is to remain true to the Word of “I AM,” meditating day and night on the true revelation of light.  He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous.”    Questions for Jesus: What do you want me to notice about this Tree of Life? What...

Wholistic Hearts- A Journey from the Head to the Heart, Encounters with Jesus

Encountering the Book of Psalms In Dietrich Bonhoeffer's book about the book of Psalms, He wrote “David prayed the psalms. Jesus prayed the psalms after David. We pray the psalms after Jesus. And with Jesus and through Jesus….How does the psalms sound through the lips of Jesus?” Let's read through first Psalm together.  What stands out to you?  Meditate is "hagah" which means to imagine, meditate, mourn, mutter, roar, sore, speak, study.   Journal Prompts: What do I focus on during the day and night? What do I choose to delight in?  What fruit is coming from...

Wholistic Hearts- A Journey from the Head to the Heart, Encounters with Jesus

Kristin is welcoming listeners into this new series: Encountering the Book of Psalms. This isn’t just about reading scripture—it’s about experiencing the heart of God. The Psalms show us a whole and honest heart. They hold grief and hope, joy and fear, peace in the middle of anxiety. They remind us that we’re not alone in our emotions—and that God meets us right in the middle of them. As you read, read slowly. Let the words anchor you. Let them point you back to Him. This series is an invitation to experience—not just study—the living God through the Psalms. Love what we are...

Wholistic Hearts- A Journey from the Head to the Heart, Encounters with Jesus

Kristin welcomes Chantal, author of Voice of the Queen, for a powerful conversation about what it really means to encounter God. For Chantal, the throne room wasn’t just a metaphor. It was something she stepped into and experienced in a deeply personal way. Through Isaiah 6 and Revelation 4, she helps us understand what happens when we meet with God—not in theory, but in reality. When we stop talking about Him and actually listen for His voice, everything begins to shift. God is always moving forward. He isn’t stuck in our past, and He’s not asking us to live there either. The enemy...

Wholistic Hearts- A Journey from the Head to the Heart, Encounters with Jesus

Kristin leads you into an encounter that invites you to explore the secret place—the quiet, personal space where you meet with God. It’s not heavily guided. Just enough to create space, ask a question, and let Him speak. You’re encouraged to pause and imagine: What does the secret place look like for you? For some, it looks like a garden. For others, it’s the beach. Or a quiet space tucked inside your heart. There’s no right or wrong. It’s personal. It’s yours. And He’s there. Take a deep breath, lean in, and ask: “God, what does the secret place look like for me?” Let this...

Wholistic Hearts- A Journey from the Head to the Heart, Encounters with Jesus

There’s a place deep within each of us that doesn’t need to perform, prove, or strive. It’s quiet—not because life is—but because God meets us there in stillness. This is the secret place. It’s not hidden from us. It’s hidden for us. The secret place isn’t just about carving out quiet time in a busy schedule. It’s about connection. Intimacy. A moment set apart between you and God, where your heart is fully known and fully safe. God is always available. Always near. He doesn’t need perfect words or a perfect setup—just your willingness to pause and come close. This hidden...

What Goliath is standing in front of you right now? The one that taunts you. Intimidates you. Speaks lies louder than truth. In 1 Samuel 17, David walks toward Goliath—not with heavy armor, but with full confidence in the God beside him. Graham Cooke describes it not just as a battle, but as an encounter—a moment with God filled with presence and promise. You’re invited into that same kind of moment. Join Kristin in today's encounter.  Take time today to pause and ask: What are the Goliaths you are fighting? Who is the God behind you, beside you, and with you? What is the weapon...

The Sabbath is a chance to pause, listen, and reflect. It’s a time to step back, encounter Jesus in the everyday, and allow Him to speak. Kristin is reflecting on ten questions today to guide your conversation with Jesus. This serves as a simple guide to help you take a Sabbath Pause—a moment to be still, free of distractions and agendas. Just breathe and let your heart settle. In the quiet, open yourself to reflection. Consider what you need to release, where you have seen God’s presence, and what He may be inviting you into. This pause is an invitation to trust, breathe, and begin...

Wholistic Hearts- A Journey from the Head to the Heart, Encounters with Jesus

Kristin is joined by Laura for another deep and powerful conversation about stepping into the new life God has given us. This episode is full of encouragement, validation, and a reminder that it’s okay to leave the past behind in order to seek Him fully. A foundational truth of the kingdom is that we are made new in Christ. Yet so often, we find ourselves trying to fix, repair, or perfect our old selves—as if Jesus came to simply clean up our past rather than give us a completely new identity. But why would He resurrect what He has already made new? The world offers countless ways to let...

Hello Wholistic Hearts family! I've missed you immensely.

For a year, the Lord had nudged my heart to get quiet, get focused, heal, and to take a season to let Him work in me.  This episode I share the not-so pretty and tied up bows of 2024 and the past year's lessons from laying down this podcast.

I am so excited to be back and journey forward alongside of you!

Thank you to my listeners who still listened over the past year- I am humbled by your listening even while I was radio silent here on this podcast.

I'd love to hear from you- How was your 2024? What did you learn about who God is? What did the Father reveal to you about your heart? What areas is He calling you to lay down? to rest? to pick up the baton and run with all your might? I wanna know. How are your hearts?
