Welcome to Women In STEM Career And Confidence

  • How many of you have had a career that has naturally unfolded in front of you? I call it the career conveyor belt. Perhaps you consciously stepped onto it but along the way you have been recommended for that position or subtle shaped and moulded to fit someone else’s purpose.
  • Are you coming to the end of a position or contract and are being forced to look at career changes?
  • Do you have a secure contract but the environment within which you are working has changed?
  • Or do you feel there is something more, something different on the horizon but you are not sure what that is yet?

Not matter what the context within which you are here with me I am here to help.

We will explore four key pieces to this puzzle.

  1. Uncovering limiting beliefs that stop us taking action or hold us back from reaching our full potential.
  2. Restoring confidence using micro actions, tools and techniques.
  3. Career planning through long term vision and uncovering your unique value.
  4. Time and energy secrets so you can find the time to implement new actions.,

This podcast is recorded live three times a week for 5-7 minutes, perfect for busy schedules.

Here's my academic career conveyor belt. I have a degree, masters, PhD and postdoc in Chemistry. I spent 8 years managing large multimillion projects between academics and industry and commercialising that research. As part of one of the commercialisation projects I started a spin-out company with three other female academics and I was managing director of that company for two years and I did all that whilst having three children. On my third maternity leave, I decided to retrain to be a coach and professional skills trainer. You will hear more about that story through the podcast episodes.

I’ve been working in the field of personal and professional development for over three years. I’m a certified coach with clients spanning six continents and I’ve been featured in Thrive Global, Mums in Science, Academic Voices to name just a few. I’ve worked with an incredible set of mentors to get to this point.

It is my deepest wish to support you in your personal development journey so that you can harness your true potential, lead powerfully and create a positive impact in the world whilst balancing the things and people that mean most to you.
