During what he describes as a "triple-header of adversity," Micah was simultaneously dealing with the devastating decline of his mother from dementia, a serious health crisis involving his sister, and the painful breakdown of his marriage. Joseph didn't wait until he reached the palace to use his gift. He used his gift in the prison.
