This question was once posed to me by a colleague, and it radically changed my life and the way I viewed my life’s work, faith, and purpose as an educator and coach. Now, I have the opportunity to pose that same question to you: What are you doing here? This question is about more than your career. It is about identity, faith, purpose, belonging, contribution, and calling. It invites you to reflect more deeply on who you are, why you are here, and the impact you are uniquely positioned to make, without telling you what your answer should be. I believe that when educators recognize that they already possess the capacity to create meaningful change, they begin to become the very change our schools, communities, and world so desperately need.
