ODIDS Podcast — Episode 1

🎙️ INTRO — Dr. Smith Tettey “Welcome to Paul’s Podcast, the official audio home of the ODIDS Daily Devotional Series. Today, we begin with a special conversation that sets the foundation for everything ODIDS stands for. I’m your host, Dr. Smith Tettey, and I’m honored to sit down with the founder of ODIDS, Pastor Paul Quarmyne. We’re diving into the heart behind this devotional movement — why it exists, who it serves, and how it’s transforming families around the world. Paul, thank you for joining us.” 🎙️ PAUL: Opening “Thank you, Dr. Tettey. It’s a joy to be here and to share what God has placed on our hearts through ODIDS.” ⭐ INTERVIEW SEGMENT 🎙️ Question 1 — Dr. Tettey “Paul, what core problem is ODIDS designed to solve?” 🎙️ Paul “At its core, ODIDS is about restoring the sacred rhythm God intended for families. Deuteronomy 6:6 calls us to keep His Word in our hearts and share it daily with our children. But just like in the book of Judges, when that rhythm is lost, families drift away from God. We deeply believe this is a spiritual mission — a calling to bring households back to a place where God’s Word is lived out every day.” 🎙️ Question 2 — Dr. Tettey “Where did you first see the need for this?” 🎙️ Paul “I saw it through years of mentoring. Children would light up on Sunday but lose that spark by midweek. We felt the Spirit’s nudge that we needed a tool to help families nurture faith at home, helping kids grow in wisdom and favor just like Jesus did. It’s a deeply spiritual journey we’re inviting families to join.” 🎙️ Question 3 — Dr. Tettey “How does ODIDS help families restore that rhythm?” 🎙️ Paul “ODIDS gives families a daily path to walk with God together. Each day’s lesson is a spiritual stepping stone. For instance, January 5th calls families to honor God, and January 6th focuses on choosing what matters most. We’re calling families into a rhythm of prayer, Scripture, and shared growth. We truly believe this is a way to bring families closer to God and to one another.” 🎙️ Question 4 — Dr. Tettey “Can you give examples of how ODIDS uses rules and habits to shape character?” 🎙️ Paul “Absolutely. ODIDS House Rules and Life Habits are built to counter the drift we see in Judges. For example, House Rule #2 — Speak Truth with Kindness — helps children avoid harshness and act with love. House Habit #3 — Prepare Before You Act — teaches them to think prayerfully before making decisions. These principles rebuild the moral foundation that collapses when God’s Word is absent.” 🎙️ Question 5 — Dr. Tettey “How do the devotionals help children grow like Jesus did in Luke 2:52?” 🎙️ Paul “Every entry is designed to help children grow in the four areas Jesus grew: wisdom, stature, favor with God, and favor with people. For instance, January 4th teaches goal‑setting rooted in Proverbs, while January 11th teaches routines that stabilize daily life. Each day is an opportunity for children to grow more like Christ.” 🎙️ Question 6 — Dr. Tettey “How do you use Scripture to reinforce these lessons?” 🎙️ Paul “Scripture is the anchor of each devotional. We directly tie every habit and rule to a biblical passage. For example, our Speak Truth with Kindness rule is rooted in Ephesians 4:15. This is not just about good behavior — it’s about living out biblical truth daily.” 🎙️ Question 7 — Dr. Tettey “What kind of feedback have you received from families so far?” 🎙️ Paul “The feedback has been incredibly encouraging and spiritually affirming. Families share that their children are eager for these devotionals and that they bring a sense of peace and purpose into their homes. Parents are telling us that they feel more connected to their kids spiritually.” 🎙️ Question 8 — Dr. Tettey “What’s your hope for the future of the ODIDS program?” 🎙️ Paul “Our hope is that ODIDS becomes a global movement — a way for families everywhere to reconnect with God in their daily lives. We want to see households transformed, strengthened, and filled with faith. We believe this is a calling, and we’re excited to see where God leads us.” 🎙️ Question 9 — Dr. Tettey “How can others get involved or support what you’re doing?” 🎙️ Paul “We warmly invite others to join this mission. Whether it’s through prayer, sharing the devotionals with friends, or partnering with us in ministry, there’s a place for everyone. We truly believe that together, we can create a ripple of faith that reaches far beyond our own homes.” ⭐ CLOSING — Dr. Tettey “Paul, thank you for sharing your heart and vision. ODIDS is clearly more than a devotional — it’s a movement to restore God’s rhythm in families. And to our listeners, thank you for joining us for this foundational conversation. Stay tuned for daily ODIDS devotionals designed to strengthen your walk with Christ.” ⭐ PAUL: Final Blessing “May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He guide your home, strengthen your faith, and fill your day with His peace. Walk with Him, and let His Word shape your life. God bless you.”
