Fashion Business ft. Dayle Angus
Dayle Abeje Angus, 26, is the owner and designer behind the House of Abeje design company and the brand LINKAGE. Dayle has always had a taste for culture fueled by her multicultural background; her father of Jamaican heritage and her mother a Tobagonain. She pushes to bring diversity to fashion through design and after she gained her BA in Fashion Design, at Marymount University in Arlington Virginia she created HOA which is a byproduct of her love for Caribbean culture. Dayle's style ranges between edgy and classic with attention paid to comfort and details. She loves to work with asymmetry and also mixing different fabrics together to create a look. Dayle has worked in various areas of the industry and most recently she has opened her own designer boutique under the name House of Abeje in Tobago and has released her 2018 collection Mesh Lyfe under the LINKAGE brand. Since then she has released two other collections including her latest installment ÒKÙNKÙN that she released at New York Fashion Week, September 2019. She worked with Brian Macfarlane in his recent contribution of Cazabon: The Art of Living, her section being Gang Gang Sarah and Tom. Dayle also released her 2017 collection Et. Al. under the brand name LINKAGE at the Tobago Fashion Coda 2017 installment. With a solid point of view, Dayle strives to fulfill and project beauty, luxury, passion, diversity and formidability through her designs.

Dr Aeesha Malik works both in the NHS as a Paediatric Ophthalmic Surgeon and at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) working on projects to reduce avoidable blindness in children in low and middle-income countries(LMICs). She has a breadth of clinical, public health and research experience in low and middle-income countries, and has worked on national eye care policy while a Clinical Advisor at the UK Department of Health and on global health policy with WHO. Her main interests are in improving global child health focusing on health systems and health policy. She currently leads two main projects; one working to integrate eye care into the child health systems and the second to improve care for premature babies by improving eye care services for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP).

Onika Henry is a trained educator, facilitator, counsellor, theatre artist and life skills tutor, with university qualifications in Theatre Arts, Psychology and Human Sexuality. Trained both locally and abroad, Onika uses her combination of specialties for the benefit of her clients and students, in an environment that is healthy, fun, productive, and most of all, safe and non-judgemental. She is a regular contributing writer for the Newsday Newspapers (nationally as well as the Tobago Newsday), the co-founder of a top-performing arts company in Tobago as well as a trainer of sexual health facilitators. She volunteers at a few NGOs, including Tobago’s only halfway home for ex-prisoners and deportees. Beyond the stethoscope, Dr. Kelly is recognized as “The Bounce Back Coach,” helping high-performing women to bounce back from failed relationships, rebuild their self-esteem, and reclaim their identity. Her debut book, “Bounce Back to Better: Recovering from the Disappointment of a Failed Relationship,” walks readers through her personal journey of reconstructing her life after her engagement ended. Through a multi-dimensional platform that addresses the mind, body, and spirit, Dr. Kelly lives out her passion to help others achieve total wellness and lead a balanced life.
